  Rating: 1/5 Stars I had a horrific experience today at the office of Justus Thomas, MD, and I am seriously considering canceling my upcoming procedure for my other eye. My appointment was for a routine laser procedure to remove film behind the cornea following cataract surgery. I waited an hour just to be called back, at which point my eye was dilated and I was sent back to the waiting room for another hour. By the time I was finally seen again, they actually had to re-dilate my eye because so much time had passed. When Dr. Thomas finally entered, I politely mentioned that I had been waiting for two hours. Instead of a professional apology, he was incredibly condescending and aggressive. He told me, “Well, do you want me to do the procedure or would you rather wait another hour?” When I told him I wanted the procedure, he snapped, “Well, stop your whining or you can go out and wait some more.” The actual laser treatment took less than a minute. Once finished, he walked out the door without saying a single word. I left the office shaking. I felt targeted by his misogyny and felt like a victim of elder abuse. No patient should ever be spoken to or dismissed this way. Dr Thomas has never treated me this way before. Normally he has a fake friendliness as he comes in and does his procedure and quickly leaves. So, you can take your chances on which Dr Thomas you might get if you choose to go there.

  I wanted Lasik surgery for my eyes but was not sure where to start. I met with two different doctors and decided to select Dr. Thomas and the team at Houston Eye Associates. It was a great decision. Everything was explained to me, every question was answered. The team took excellent care of me prior to, during, and after my surgery. I am more than satisfied with the results and love meeting with them for following appointments. I absolutely recommend Dr. Thomas and the team at Houston Eye Associates.

  If you go anywhere else you are making a mistake. Dr. Thomas and his team are the kind, professional, and dedicated to their patients. If I could give more stars I would.

  I just had my LASIK surgery done and I’m extremely happy with the results. I can already see so much better and the whole experience was smooth and comfortable. A big thank you to Dr. Justus Thomas for the excellent care and professionalism. He explained everything clearly and made me feel very confident throughout the process. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. If anyone is considering LASIK, I highly recommend Dr. Justus Thomas. It’s truly life-changing to see clearly without glasses or contacts!

  I got my SMILE procedure done by Dr. Thomas and it went great! Dr. Thomas and his team are absolutely incredible and did an amazing job caring for me throughout the procedure and post-op.
