Eye exam was quick and easy. Very thorough and didn’t take much time.
I was disappointed to find out that a part of the exam was not covered under my insurance, and it was not communicated to me before hand. It more than doubled my bill. Definitely something to fix for the future.

Wow I was in and out in less than an hour. They completed full exam and ordering of my glasses in that time. Everyone is very efficient. Highly recommend.

I’m torn on this review... the doctor did a good job and he’s friendly, knowledgeable and professional. However, on the flip side, I had numerous issues getting my glasses done... they didn’t inform me that my glasses were ready, they made them wrong and with Poor quality (even they suggested they are the very best and work only with the best materials), I took them back and they “graciously” made a second pair, they got them wrong, they knew it and called me “sorry, they are wrong again”, once again, they didn’t inform me about the status or estimated time... then try #3, they got them wrong again, they didn’t use “top of class materials” as I paid for, I noticed and say to them, this is not what i wanted. They said, reluctantly “sorry, we’ll make them again”. The next day, they called and say. No, se won’t do them again, we’ve incurred in too many costs and your insurance won’t cover it either”.
So their multiple mistakes and inefficiency turned up to be MY FAULT?
I’ve been wearing glasses for more than 90% of my life, I’ve gone thorough this process countless times, and this is the first time I have so many issues.
Dr. Steed is great, but I didn’t hear from him during this process. This review goes towards the business itself and not the doctor ability/knowledge.
I’m not only frustrated and disappointed but also sad, as I am a big proponent of supporting small local businesses. I hope this review helps them get it right as something is broken in their admin processes.

Wonderful people and great eye care. They take time and don't rush you through the process. I've used them for years and am extremely satisfied.

Dr. Steed is the best. He takes the time to talk to his patients and give the best options. I have never had a bad experience there. I am a customer for life.
Frequently Asked Questions About Larson Vision Care
How often should I get my eyes examined?
For adults without vision issues or risk factors, a comprehensive eye exam is recommended every two years. Individuals over 65, those using corrective lenses, or with risk factors such as diabetes should schedule annual examinations. For children, the first exam should occur between 6-12 months, with follow-ups at age 3 and prior to entering first grade.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring the following items to your appointment: your current eyewear (glasses or contacts), a comprehensive list of medications you're taking, your medical and ocular history, insurance documentation, any questions or concerns you'd like to address, and sunglasses as your eyes may be dilated during the examination.
Will my eyes be dilated during the exam?
Eye dilation may be part of your comprehensive exam as it allows for a thorough retinal examination. If your eyes are dilated, you may experience light sensitivity and difficulty focusing on near objects for 4-6 hours post-examination. We recommend arranging transportation home as a precautionary measure.
How often should I replace my contact lenses?
The replacement schedule for contact lenses varies based on the type prescribed: daily disposables should be replaced each day, two-week lenses every fortnight, and monthly lenses on a monthly basis. It's crucial to adhere to the specific instructions provided by your eye care professional and never exceed the recommended wear time.
What services does Larson Vision Care offer?
Larson Vision Care provides comprehensive eye care services including: comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings and evaluations, management of ocular diseases, co-management of laser vision correction and cataract surgeries, as well as eyewear selection and styling consultations.
How do I know if I need glasses?
Indications that you may require vision correction include: experiencing blurred vision at any distance, recurring headaches, persistent eye strain, frequent squinting, difficulty with night vision, and eye fatigue when engaging in reading or digital device use.
Contact lenses or glasses - which is better?
The choice between contact lenses and glasses depends on individual factors such as lifestyle, comfort preferences, and ocular health. Contact lenses provide a more natural field of vision and are advantageous for sports activities, but require diligent care. Glasses offer easier maintenance and can provide additional eye protection, though they may not be suitable for all activities.
