Update: I talked with the Manager to give information about my visit. She was apologetic and assured me that she took complaints very seriously. I've added 1 star for the customer service aspect. In response to comment below, I was unaware that my neck pain was an "emergency" as I'd had no accidents or sudden trauma, I just woke up with it, but something concerning showed up on an X-ray which was NOT performed at Preferred. Had they done an x-ray, they would have seen it and Ideally recommended that I go to the ER sooner than I did.
I had an okay experience. The place was clean enough and the staff was friendly enough. Along with other reviews I didn't understand the $5 office fee, but paid it anyway. I came in with some neck pain that was getting worse and felt like my head was going to explode, The NP had me move my head and neck around and basically told me to get a new pillow and take Ibuprofen.
It was still getting worse a few days later, and felt pretty extreme for "sleeping wrong" so I went to the ER. They did x-rays and then a CT scan and basically said my neck ligament is turning to bone, which is pretty serious. It would have been nice if this was noticed at the Urgent Care. I went to them on Day 1 of the pain and had a lot of additional pain which could have been avoided if they'd have caught this on my visit.
Visited for a sore throat, drainage, coughing, etc. Shared spouse had gone to urgent care and was given antibiotics etc, and I likely had what spouse did. NP did not assess throat, neck, etc to determine if there was any swelling or discomfort. Said to go home and take cold medicine, even after discussing antibiotics likely being necessary. Felt worse shortly thereafter, sought an alternative care facility and explained to the doc symptoms, circumstances etc. After new doc assessed/evaluated, received vaccinations on site, and oral antibiotics and steroids to take at home. What tipped off this place may be a scam, con, or poorly staffed is their marketing and selling of skin care cosmetic products in their waiting room inside display shelving. Copay for this facility was higher, too (not as agreed to with insurance carrier).

This practice overall is pretty good. I just don’t understand the point of having to pay $5 for a some kind of electronic fee. It sounds like just a way to push fees off to patients and I think that’s crap.
Plus, my blood pressure was just “taken”. It read “error” but the front desk girl just took it off and said the provider would be with me. Try to be more diligent.
