This place is amazing! Everyone is so nice, helpful, compassionate, and professional. From the minute I walked through the door, someone was there to greet me and direct me to the correct location. Angela, who did most of my exam, was extremely nice and professional and very thorough and explained every step of the exam and what the test involved. Dr. Morello was very friendly and professional and also very thorough and explained the results of all my tests. They gave me prescriptions for both my glasses and my contacts. The person who helped me with getting new lenses in my existing frames, was also very friendly and professional and knowledgeable about the entire procedure and explained when I would be getting my glasses back with the new frames. My sister recommended this location and this doctor. What a great experience and excellent customer service. So happy I made the change from my old eye doctor and location. Can I give them 10 stars? Thank you for such a great experience!
I would give zero stars if I could. This clinic is a textbook example of everything wrong with the healthcare system. It took THREE separate attempts over the course of a month just to finally see a doctor. Despite providing my insurance details upfront, they failed repeatedly to verify coverage. The first time, they notified me just days before the appointment that the doctor was out-of-network. The second time, they called the MORNING of the exam to tell me that while the doctor was in-network, the surgical facility was not. This gross incompetence wasted a full month of my time. When I finally had my consultation, I was handed off to a "surgical coordinator" who acted more like a high-pressure salesperson than a healthcare professional. Because I have high myopia, I am very careful with my eyes. I explicitly stated that I was comfortable with the insurance-covered monofocal (basic) lens and didn't mind wearing glasses. Instead of respecting my choice, the coordinator resorted to blatant misinformation to scare me into a $3,000+ per eye "upgrade." She actually claimed that if I chose the basic lens, my vision would remain "blurry for an entire month." This is a medically inaccurate scare tactic designed to exploit patients' anxieties. I have since moved my surgery to a more ethical provider who confirmed that monofocal lenses are an excellent, high-quality option. It is shameful to see a clinic prioritize profit margins over honest patient care. If you value your time, your money, and your eye health, I strongly suggest you go elsewhere.

Mann Eye Institute represent the best in patient/doctor (including all employees) relationship. Each person knows their job and is happy to work with you on whatever you need. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Extremely poor administrative handling - Waste of time
I scheduled two appointments back in Dec 2025 after confirming they were in-network on the UHC portal and with their scheduler. After being rescheduled in Feb due to their spring break, I went in last week for my routine exam. I specifically gave the front desk my medical insurance cards then so everything would be "ready to go" for my follow-up medical appointment today.
Today, at 7:51 AM for an 8:00 AM appointment, I got a call saying they didn't have my insurance. I was literally in the parking lot. After going inside and waiting, they finally told me they don't take my medical insurance. It is unacceptable to wait until 9 minutes before an appointment to verify insurance that was provided months ago and again a week ago. I wasted months waiting for this appointment when I could have gone to an in-network provider.
Complete lack of regard for a patient's time.

I had a wonderful experience at Mann Eye Institute and wanted to take a moment to recognize the amazing team who helped me.
Dr. Ustick was incredibly professional, thorough, and took the time to explain everything clearly. I truly felt like my eye health was her priority, and I left feeling confident and well cared for.
May & Jenny the technologists, were fantastic. They were kind, patient, and made the entire testing process comfortable and easy. Their friendly demeanor immediately put me at ease.
At the front desk, Wendy and Stephanie were so welcoming and helpful. They made the check-in and scheduling process smooth and pleasant, and their positive energy set the tone for the whole visit.
Avianna, my optician, was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable, patient, and helped me find the perfect frames while making the experience fun and stress-free.
The entire team worked together so seamlessly and created such a warm, professional environment. It’s clear they truly care about their patients. I’m so grateful for the excellent care and highly recommend Mann Eye Institute.
