They were so amazing! I had a horrible experience at another Place and I was referred here. My daughter had so much anxiety about her procedure and they calmed every nerve that she had including mine. They were very nice and very patient with my daughter even the anesthesiologist was great as well. I loved how during my daughter‘s procedure. Someone frequently came out and gave me updates which put me at ease. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially with kids

Made an appt for a consult, after being referred by our dentist, to have a mucocele removed on our sons lip. When I called and made this initial appt, I was told that if I owed anything at the visit that someone would call me the day before. I received no call so I just assumed my PPO insurance was covering it. We complete the consultation and then we were taken into what I call the 'room of doom' bc that's the money room. I was handed an ASTRONOMICALLY expensive estimate for a procedure that shouldn't cost anywhere NEAR what they were telling me and then was also told "Oh, there's a $50 consultation feee for today." K, cool, definitely wasn't notified of that one. Then she asked when we wanted to schedule the procedure. It was a HARD "We're not" for me. We will absolutely be taking our business elsewhere as there are FAR more affordable oral surgeons with fantastic credentials and feedback. You guys need to be more clear and upfront on how your office procedures are handled. That said, despite the missteps from the back office and the astronomical pricing, everyone was nice and welcoming.

100% would recommend! Everyone I have interacted with at this practice has been amazing! Literally every person! My son had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Morris in November. Our initial consultation had to be rescheduled after waiting for some time as Dr. Morris was in a surgery that needed his continued attention and ran much longer than anticipated. Completely understandable as a surgical patient should always have priority. Working for a surgeon I understand that these things happen and are out of anyone's control when they do. What didn't have to happen was Dr. Morris graciously waiving a consultation fee when we came back for the rescheduled appointment. His bedside manner with my son was great, he made sure that he was informed, confident and comfortable with both surgery and recovery. Surgery scheduling was a breeze and financial expectations were transparent. My son did have some minor nerve irritation following surgery which resulted in a few extra post-op appointments, at which Dr. Morris was very thorough with my son and explained what was happening and a game plan of what needed to happen. We finally had our last post-op yesterday which once again was a breeze! Thanks to the entire staff for your expertise, care, compassion, knowledge and reassurance every step of the way!

Horrible bedside manner. Not patient with children at all. Recommended intubation when my daughter got shaken up about the needle for local anesthesia the day of her procedure. He walked out in irritation as my daughter sat with tears in her eyes. Stated he wasn't performing the surgery as long as she crying. Which I do understand, however his attitude spoke volumes. By the time she collected herself, we informed the nurse we were ready, only for her to return, informing us he would not proceed until we schedule the intubation, which is a wild suggestion for a child's common oral procedure. I would not recommend anyone take their children here. We found a much better provider with way nicer staff and facilities. We might be paying more for the procedure now, but its worth every penny to have a better experience and know we're paying a professionals.

My son needed his wisdom teeth removed, the office was quick to get us in one week for a consultation and the following week he had them all removed. Dr. Brock was also very kind and willing to answer any questions or concerns we had about the procedure. Overall staff was very helpful and friendly.

Frequently Asked Questions About Katy Center for Oral & Facial Surgery

Do I need my wisdom teeth?

Wisdom teeth are not essential for proper oral function. Your teeth can function normally without them. In rare cases where wisdom teeth align correctly and gum tissue is healthy, removal may not be necessary. However, even well-aligned wisdom teeth are susceptible to disease and should be monitored annually by a dental professional.

Why should I have my wisdom teeth removed?

Approximately 90% of individuals experience issues with at least one wisdom tooth. Problems often arise when wisdom teeth become impacted, causing pain and potential complications. Early removal can prevent these issues and simplify the extraction process. Our oral surgeons at COFS are highly experienced in handling complex cases, making them a preferred choice for referrals in the Houston area.
