    My fitting and seating experience with the assigned field coordinator was truly exceptional. She went above and beyond to understand and address my specific needs. I was fortunate to have Milissa Dafler from National Mobility & Seating assist me with all the necessary steps, from the initial evaluation to the final selection of the right equipment. Her expertise and knowledge of the process were invaluable, and I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a seamless and personalized seating experience.     First contacted national seating and mobility in November 2024. I have a broken right femur that has not healed correctly due to a short term rehab facility my insurance sent me to dragging me by the ankle on the freshly surgically repaired leg. United Healthcare said nsm was their contracted provider. I was first measured with my therapist in January 2025 for a wheelchair to fit my specific needs. It's now October 7th and I'm still using a borrowed chair that doesn't fit my needs and has bearings that need to be replaced to continue to use. I can't get cooperation from nsm or United healthcare. It's been very frustrating. The most recent fitting with the therapist the repair person said it will go quickly this time. The therapist says he submitted his assessment the next day. My original representative at nsm has blocked my number and disappeared my new representatives email today wouldn't accept my message after being on the phone and holding for over an hour. I'm starting to feel like they get paid to gaslight and avoid getting people the dme their insurance policy covers. I'm non weight bearing in both legs. I'm completely confused because I see people that don't need ambulatory assistance get multiple mobility assistance devices. I'm not calling screaming cursing etc because I desperately desperately need their help. I'm struggling to care for myself. I worked for my disability. I had an employment gap due to a work related injury but still fully qualified for ssdi. I just don't understand why they aren't helping me. Don't they only get paid when they provide necessary medical equipment?I'm sorry but it's been a year and I have suffered dozens of additional injuries. Pressure sores and impact injuries from using whatever chair I can get my hands on. Not a loaner from the company. They never mentioned that as a possibility. They have offered to let me just purchase one for cash $20000 but I'm disabled and my disability payment is very low due to the work related employment gap. Even if I could finance it I wouldn't be able to pay it back plus my insurance says it should be covered. Can anybody help? Am I the only person having this problem

Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
