I stopped by LensCrafters three different times because I couldn’t decide on the right frames—and I’m so glad I did. Each visit, I worked with Amy at the Porter Creek Drive location in Fort Worth, and she was absolutely outstanding.
Her patience, attention to detail, and the time she dedicated to helping me find the perfect pair truly set her apart. That level of care is rare these days. Beyond just great service, the experience was genuinely enjoyable—we shared some laughs and got to know each other along the way.
Without a doubt, this was the best experience I’ve ever had buying glasses. It’s not a question of if I’ll be back—it’s when. I’ll definitely be returning to work with Amy again to find my next pair.

I went to LensCrafters at Presidio in hopes to find a pair of eyeglasses. Upon arrival I was greeted right away. As I continued to look around the two associates asked if I needed help. Any particular style I’m interested in. I felt really good about the customer service I was receiving.
I finally picked out 3 pairs of glasses. I asked Sales Associate Sarah if she can check my insurance and give me quotes. Told her what all I needed handed her my prescription. She proceeds to run my insurance comes back saying I didn’t have coverage.
I said let me look into this give me till this afternoon I will call you after I speak with the benefits department. One hour later I called the store told Sarah I got it resolved and she can check my insurance. She said give her little bit as she has customers I said no worries.
Next day I called around 1pm spoke to sales associate Monica saying hey I never received a call back. She put me on hold came back said they had an issue running it this morning. I said tell you what I will call my insurance again to reverify that I have coverage. I hung up the phone called my insurance again and I was informed I have benefits and they don’t know why they having issues running my insurance. I was also informed LensCrafters as a retailer has a phone number that they call to verify my insurance. I thanked the lady for the information.
I called LensCrafters back Monica answered the phone again I explained to her what my insurance said. She said okay I will notify Sarah. I also asked should I come up there she said no Sarah will call you back with your quotes.
A week has gone by I have not received a call back. Still waiting…
After giving it some thought and looked at their reviews I decided to make this post.
Was it because of how I was dressed. Was it because of my skin color. I’m a woman of color I was dressed in an old tshirt leggings and flip flops I had no make up on hair was pulled back. That day was about running errands and spur of the moment I stopped in there.
All I was trying to do was get a quote and pick a pair of glasses. This experience has made me feel some type of way. I don’t post negative reviews I’m in retail myself. All I was asking for a phone call back. Please don’t judge people on their looks or how they are dressed.

Sarah was absolutely amazing! She spent so much time with me helping me pick frames. She seemed to know what I would like and picked out a pair of sunglass frames that I loved at first sight didn’t have to look at anymore. If she’s not a manager she sure should be.

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
