My husband and I came to LensCrafters after years of good experiences and counting on the 30 day guarantee. When we picked up our glasses on Saturday, immediately my husband said his lenses were distorted and he could not see correctly. We were told to wait for them to adjust. After suffering vertigo and horrible migraines we revisited our Optometrist this morning who verified that LensCrafters “botched” the job by adding prsym to the lenses, which are necessary for some, but not my husband. We immediately went to LensCrafters in Fairview and was greeted very coldly by Eric who told us he was with a client, who was already being helped and he was standing there making small talk. When he finally helped us he denied that the lenses had prysm “according to his machine” and there was basically nothing he could do, even though we had a note straight from the Optometrist from this morning. I’m not sure what the guarantee entails, except taking them at their word, even when they’re wrong. This was the worst experience I have ever had at LensCrafters or any similar store. My husband asked for a refund which Eric seemed more than happy to help with, more so than fixing the glasses. When I asked when out insurance benefits would be available he was quick to say that they’re from last year and are gone now- even though our insurance doesn’t restart until September. This guy seemed to have no idea what he was doing and no interest in helping anyone.

We came in trying to order a pair of new lenses for glasses. We were asking questions because we didn't really know how the process works and we just had questions that my doctor told me to ask. The workers that were working there told my mother and I that we were not letting them do their jobs and we were being too much. The tone was so disrespectful and acted like they had a god complex. The way they talked to my mother was so disrespectful and cruel that my mouth dropped. Never in my life had i experienced such poor customer service and help. Coming from a person that works in retail and helps people every day, I was beyond shocked on what occurred. Anyways ,if you have questions and want good customer service don't come here. This was terrible customer service and honestly we were afraid to ask questions even though we were paying customers. They need to teach there employees manners and how to be respectful. Absolutely ridiculous. It was the guy with blond hair and a woman. Q LensCrafters

Visited the store on 28th December 2025 to tighten up my son’s glasses which were bought from LensCrafters, the staff was very rude and didn’t provide the minimal service asked, the staff must go through the rigorous training of customer service and politeness . Definitely not going to this location in future .

Joy was great! This was my first time ever getting glasses. She was so helpful with paperwork and everything. Will be using from now on Update. When I left the store. I wasn’t offered to buy or given an eyeglass case. A week later coincidentally I was at Frisco mall LensCrafters looking around. I mentioned this incident to the worker. I offered to buy a case. The girl told me they don’t sell cases. But she gave me one for free. Will be transferring my business to this location.

I had a great experience here as always. Every year I leave this location after getting my new glasses, I find myself more impressed by the level of service I receive. What set this year apart, was the fact that I was going to try something new. Not only a new design, but take a chance with the new Meta glasses as well. I'm typically a simple wire frame person, so I was very nervous and apprehensive. McKenna recognized this and patiently discussed the benefits of them and shared why she had chosen them for her glasses as well. She was efficient and even excused herself when appropriate to check on other customers in the store as well. All around, very pleasant experience. The other young lady in the store apparently recognized me from my last visit with my daughter and asked how I have been. I hope I wasn't a pain or anything and that's why you remembered me! Eric(I hope that's your name), you do a great job staffing your store. See yall next year!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
