  I was referred to see Ceci Márquez who was highly recommended by an MD who worked with her personally in the past. I was looking forward to start up care with her however, the staff in the front and or billing department were rude, condescending and unprofessional. I had requested medical records from another facility to be sent to West Wind medical associates but when the other facility MR representative attempted to fax over my records on 3/20/24 they were unable to do so. The MR rep from the other facility contacted me stating she had spoken to a Christina Fraire who let her know they were having issues with their fax machine and she offered her email so that my records would be received and she would turn them in to the correct department. The other facility sent the records to the email provided. I called on 3/20/24 at approximately 1630 and asked to speak with Ms. Fraire so I could confirm that my records were received. When transferred, the call was answered by Ms Fraire who turned out to b be a rude, inpatient and very unprofessional individual who asked me what email she gave the MR rep, to which I replied, I don’t know I wasn’t given that information. Ms. Fraire then proceeded to tell me that she wasn’t sure if she gave the correct email to the MR rep. I asked her, why wouldn’t you verify that with the MR rep to make sure she got the right email, right spelling and everything at the time of your conversation with her and before she sent out my records? I asked if she would call the MR rep back to verify the email and fix this confusion and she replied, “I’m not a medical assistant, I’m busy!” I then said, so now, my records could be anywhere and that’s a HIPAA violation. If you can’t help me get this fixed I’ll have to cancel my appointment for tomorrow 3/21/24. She then replied, “that’s fine, do what you need to do” and she chuckled as she said this. I asked her to transfer me to the front so I could talk to someone else about the appointment. I let the front desk person know how unacceptable Ms. Fraire’s behavior was and that this was the first interaction/impression with this practice and it’s a shame that without even meeting the Providers, this is the experience I received. I don’t feel comfortable going there now and having these individuals handle my medical records. I don’t believe they have the professionalism/integrity to do so. I caution anyone thinking about starting up care here. I hope the Providers read this review and consider doing something about this because it is definitively going to affect their business. I have read through some of the other reviews and these issues with the front appear to be a trend. I will look into finding out where my records ended up and I am prepared to file a HIPAA violation complaint as needed.
