Nearly 9 months ago, I had a rejuvenation surgery with Dr. Brady, which involved labiaplasty, a frenectomy and perineum repair. I followed all post-surgery instructions and follow-up appointments to a tee. There was a need for laser resurfacing afterwards to smooth out tissue/scars. During the original resurfacing, Dr. Brady missed a spot, requiring me to come back again during which she insisted on charging me for- after an astronomically expensive surgery. This resurfacing need was a direct result of the surgery, which I was being nickeled and dimed for versus her ethically and professionally seeing a patient through the surgical process to reasonable results.
Let me testify to any woman considering this type of surgery- it could be life-changing...NOT in a good way. Dr. Brady did not paint an accurate picture about long term recovery and sexual comfort. Nearly 9 months later, sex is still consistently painful. I have developed anxiety around intercourse and am now electing anal sex over vaginal sex because it's more comfortable. My regular, trusted gynecologist says the surgery was unnecessarily aggressive and that he would never recommend this to his family or patients. He reported that he has seen multiple patients in the emergency room after surgeries by Dr. Brady.
Cosmetically, there are still issues as well. I am interviewing other surgeons to complete the needed resurfacing, resulting from Dr. Brady's surgery. I also have concerns about my scarring, pain and other cosmetic issues after surgery.
Additionally, Dr. Brady recommended Votiva treatments in her office at $1200 a pop. They reuse the wands. They put yours in a plastic bag and use it for subsequent treatments. Who knows about cleaning, sterilizing, storage and oversight in between. Within a few hours of my second treatment, I developed a painful, bloody UTI that I had to go to urgent care for. I reported it to Dr. Brady's office- they didn't seem too worried about it. I have seen other reviewers reporting infections by this office.
Dr. Brady is in it for the money, not to help women. Consult your regular gynecologist with your concerns/plans. IF you move forward, interview multiple rejuvenation surgeons and choose wisely. I DO NOT recommend Dr. Brady.
