When my mother and I first entered the store—and even after we finished browsing for lenses—we were never greeted or checked on. When we eventually found the frames we liked, we tried asking for assistance, but the staff seemed preoccupied with their tablets, conversations, or other tasks. We waited for a while, and when I finally got up to ask again, I was told to wait until someone else could help us. That would have been completely fine, except I saw multiple staff members assisting new customers who came in after us or checking in on others, but not once on us.
It wasn’t until John stepped in that we finally received any help. He was the first person to acknowledge us since we’d arrived. John was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to turn our experience around. Without him, I honestly think we would have walked out with either nothing or maybe just the frames.
John truly saved our visit, and I hope his excellent service is recognized.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at LensCrafters thanks to Store Market Manager John Thompson. He truly went above and beyond in helping me choose and purchase the new Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. John took the time to walk me through everything - from the features to a hands-on demo - and made sure I understood how the glasses work.
What really stood out was his patience and professionalism. He never rushed me and answered every question with a friendly and knowledgeable attitude. His guidance helped me feel confident that I was making the right choice, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!
It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about customers the way John does. His exceptional service made the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and personalized.
If you’re shopping for glasses or need expert help, I highly recommend asking for John Thompson. He is truly fantastic! 👏

Although I havent recieved my glasses to date my experience was amazing. There was limited selection of the glasses due program that allowed me to recieve free glasses in partnership with lensecrafter. Having used this program there has been some improvements. When one store didnt have the selection I needed they suggested that I reach out to other locations. Typically I would have to make an appointment. However, I was able to go in right away. The store manager brought out a pair of glasses that was a perfect fit. Me being me i wanted to look at the other options. Let's just say the other was were for women and the manager was still the one who suggested the glasses. Base on my face, skin tone and colors that I wore and would be wearing in uniform. He hit it on the NAIL. I'm anticipating these glasses. He explained how my prescription would work and the process for recieving my glasses. It was an experience and it was exceptional 👌. The wait wasnt long to get service and felt it was just enough to browse and allow for upselling and allow for clients to interact and allow the salesman to guage the potential client needs and how they can make it personalized and bring their vision of expertise to sight.

Be careful at this store because they LIE! Deepti, my sales person, told me my frames (Prada) and prescription were 40% off, and I could get the second pair 50% off . I went back to get the 2nd pair and found out she never took the 40% off the frames. I kept looking at the receipt and thought it was too high, but the copy receipt i have now looks different than the original. Do NOT trust this store and the employees!!!!! Cedar Hill is no better!!!
UPDATE: I contacted the store manager, John, and spoke with him about the situation and he made things right!!! He apologized for what happened and said that trainings would be done to make sure it didn't happen again. I was so pleased that i purchased a second pair of eyeglasses.

My boyfriend and I — a white nursing student and an Indian engineer — had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this LensCrafters. We were interested in the new Meta AI smart-frame glasses and simply wanted to compare both color options.
The associate at the front, a heavy white woman, showed visible reluctance to let us view both pairs. Her attitude felt financially discriminatory and racially biased, as if she had already decided we weren’t serious buyers. We were carrying shopping bags from nearby stores, and instead of treating us like customers, she treated us with suspicion.
The interaction was tense, unwelcoming, and frankly humiliating. Her unwillingness to assist us properly ultimately prompted us to purchase the Meta AI glasses elsewhere, where we were treated with respect.
LensCrafters should train staff to serve all customers equally and recognize how bias — racial or socioeconomic — affects their professionalism.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
