- TSTom SouthardSep 28, 20251.0It was a great gym for almost 20 years until Planet Fitness took over. They brought in a lot of machines nobody uses in place of an exercise area that got lots of use. They brought in new equipment which was much worse than the old equipment they took out. They seemed like they couldn't care less about what their existing customers wanted. Add in the fact they never had wipes or paper towels in the bathroom, and they play got incredibly dirt in a short time. I happily canceled my membership and found a far superior gym with more to offer for the same price.

Turns out, this location used to be Texas Family Fitness, and it shows, in a good way. The equipment selection is impressive, especially the free weights, and it feels like PF might be leveling up their standards here. The space is large, clean, and well-organized, with a super friendly staff that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. If this is a glimpse of the future for PF locations, I’m all for it 💪🏽
