We recently visited this clinic based on a recommendation (Dr. Vasut was recommended), as my daughter needed a baby tooth extracted. Our first visit went smoothly — the front desk staff were kind, and the team in the exam room was polite. They completed a cleaning, X-rays, and scheduled for the extraction for the next day.
Unfortunately, the issues began during the second visit. Once my daughter was in the chair, I observed practices that felt completely unacceptable. The dentist Dr. Cheng placed the saliva ejector directly on the uncovered seat next to my daughter’s shoulder and sweater, then reused it in her mouth. The same happened with the intraoral scanner — it was placed on the bare seat and then immediately put into her mouth. This happened a couple times in a row. I was honestly shocked and didn’t even have time to react before being called away to sign paperwork for a laughing gas.
The second concern arose while I was signing that paperwork. I suddenly heard my daughter cry — later I learned they had already placed the mask on her, turned on the gas, and then stepped away, leaving her alone. It was her first time experiencing the silly gas, and without anyone next to her explaining what was happening (and without me in the room at that moment), she was understandably terrified.
I do want to acknowledge the assistant who helped during the local anesthesia — she was genuinely caring, gentle, and supportive throughout. The front desk team was also wonderful.
While the staff at the desk and the assistant deserve 5 stars, the overall experience cannot be rated higher than 1 star due to the unsanitary handling of dental tools and the lack of support given to a young child during sedation. For those reasons, I’m leaving two stars total.
I truly hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously. Children’s health and emotional safety should always come first — this is not a supermarket; this is medicine.
