  Entitled trainers. Telling me it's only a trainer side when obviously doesn't say anything about training area, only area with heavy balls. Very entitled trainers I'll give this gym a one star, trainer use this room for themselves or personal training only I heard. But it only area with a great jungle gym rack

  From out of state, but the gym was clean, not a lot of ppl at 5am which is great!!

  I’ve been a member of Gold’s Gym on and off for over 12 years, and it’s honestly disappointing to see how much things have changed — especially in the past two years. This gym never used to be like this. Previous management always honored promotional offers and discounts, and there was a level of transparency and respect toward members that made it easy to trust them. That’s completely gone now. Lately, the way this location operates has felt very scam-like. Promotions and discounts are denied, unexpected fees (including annual fees) keep getting added, and getting clear answers about billing is frustratingly difficult. It feels misleading and inconsistent with what’s promised upfront. On top of that, the overall condition has declined. Cleanliness is hit or miss, equipment repairs take far too long, and management feels unresponsive when concerns are raised. I’ve tried addressing these issues, but instead of solutions, it often feels like they’re brushed off. It’s frustrating because this used to be a solid, reliable gym. At this point, I wouldn’t recommend this location unless there are serious improvements in transparency, management, and overall upkeep.

  I was considering join as a member since recently moved to Lakeway area andthe closest gym is this one. I visited with my husband as he guest- he is a Golds gym member - but very old equipment comparing to other Golds Gym, and not well maintained.

  Always knew gyms were full of bad practices when it came to charges and fees and yet I'm still blown away with how bad Gold's has been. Initial membership didn't have applied discount, spent weeks trying to get it sorted, new membership came out more expensive with my discount? Oh well. But NOW, after nearly a year, my card declines because it was frauded. Their response is to not tell me day of, but rather to wait and charge me a CARD DECLINE FEE of $20? And of course the app is broken to try and fix this on top of everything else. Combine that with a gym that's always packed and always has broken equipment and you've got a losing recipe. Go elsewhere.
