Disappointing experience overall. The facility and equipment are not well maintained or kept clean, which makes it difficult to feel comfortable working out. The gym hours are also quite limited, reducing flexibility for members with busy schedules.
Additionally, after my credit card was stolen, I attempted to update the payment method on my account. I was told this couldn’t be done, which was both surprising and frustrating, as it seems like a basic customer service function.
Unfortunately, the staff were not helpful in resolving the issue and did not offer any alternative solutions. The lack of support and professionalism made an already frustrating situation worse. Overall, this experience reflects poorly on both the management and customer service at this gym.

This place is a bait and switch! Impossible to cancel the membership after many phone calls, and ended up paying more than $200 even though didn't use the facilities for more than 3 weeks!
Adding more color! Fed the membership to chatgpt & asked it if I can cancel after one month! Technical this is not possible (so its a bait & switch). See below.
IF I started my membership on Dec 22nd, when should I cancel, if I only want to use the Gym for one month?
Based on your membership agreement, it is not possible to use the gym for exactly one month without paying for additional time.
Here is how the rules in your contract apply to your timeline:
Your Initial Term: Your membership starts on December 22, 2025, and your Initial Term ends one month later on January 22, 2026

No Cancellation During the Initial Term: The contract explicitly states that you may not cancel your agreement or your payment obligations during the Initial Term

The 30-Day Notice Requirement: To stop recurring charges, you must provide at least 30 days' written notice
. However, because you cannot submit this cancellation notice during the Initial Term, you must wait until after the Initial Term ends to cancel

Next Billing Date: Your recurring monthly dues of $37.88 are scheduled to start automatically on January 22, 2026

Because you cannot submit your 30-day cancellation notice until after January 22, 2026, you will inevitably be billed for at least the next billing cycle on January 22nd while your 30-day notice period elapses
. At the expiration of that 30-day notice period, your agreement and gym access will officially terminate.
However when we called on Jan 26th to cancel, the person on the phone said he would cancel it for us, rather than telling us we should fill out a cancellation form. Then we get a charge on Feb 23rd, they we fill out the form and because its a day after the billing cycle, we go through one more month of billing cycle on March 22nd. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, there are lots of better options out there! Will be filing a complaint to the FTC.

Solid golds gym with newer equipment and a nice locker room and sauna. Definitely feels smaller than some of the other golds in the Austin area and can get pretty packed after 5 during the week. My biggest complaint with this golds compared to the other ones is it’s so HOT in there. It feels like the heat is on and the fans move at the slowest speed possible. It if felt cooler in here it would for sure make the works better.

Worthless customer service when cancelling, they bumped up fees by 20 dollars at the new year then when I cancelled they still charged me for the next month because of their 30 day cancelling period. When I cancel, it should be done. I will never use golds nation wide ever again

Love this location , everyone is welcoming and knowledgeable. The machines are in good condition and the bathrooms are exceptionally clean. But really leaving this review to shout out the classes they offer. Gold Burn and Pilates are my favorite so far. Super happy I signed up.
