Back in November I had issues ordering a 3 month supply of my medication as my insurance would allow me to pick up 3 months at a time. This pharmacy however has a policy in place that says they will only release 1 month at a time despite what anyone's insurance covers- this was NOT explained to me when I made the refill order- in fact the tech that helped me that day didn't mention any such policy - I even got the phone calls from the pharmacy that it was ready for pickup. Fast forward to actually trying to pick it up- I had to jump through hoops and it took the pharmacy director overriding said policy while ADMITTING the policy is in place because it COSTS THE PHARMACY MONEY TO RELEASE THIS DRUG 3 MONTHS AT A TIME vs monthly. In other words, a policy is in place to prevent helping YOU to patient, and to save a pharmacy money. Im not ignorant and I already figured as much. The big issue aside from the OBVIOUS here is the fact that NONE of this was communicated with me until AFTER the facts and up until pickup I had no issues. Upon pickup they looked up MY profile and pulled SOMEONE ELESES PRESCRIPTION FROM THE BIN and proceeds to argue that my Insurance has a problem with releasing 3 months now- which I knew was BS because I had just talked to my insurance that afternoon on the subject- then my husband pointed out someone named "Jennifer" was who the script in her hand was for... yeah. I saw her last name too. HELLO HIPAA. I was FLABBERGASTED even more so at how NONCHALANT they acted after the mix up was pointed out- as if they didn't just almost hand me someone elses prescription with their identity attatched to it. Incompetence at its finest I would say.
FAST FORWARD TO YESTERDAY- YESTERDAY was the last time I will ever use this specific pharmacy. This time I was treated like a drug addict while trying to pick up a common NON narcotic anti depressant that my doctor advised not to miss a dose or stop cold turkey as it has bad side effects *and it does- I found out the hard way 2 months in when I tried to ditch it because I didn't think it was helping when I really just needed to give it time*. I take this for a condition calles PMDD with instructions to double the dose for 2 weeks every month and my doctor had told me i could just double it daily if I felt like I needed it- so that's what I had done. My doctor forgot to communicate this with the pharmacy I guess as I was likely supposed to remind her and ONCE AGAIN I had NO ISSUES calling in the refill and I even got the call that it was READY FOR PICKUP as I stated clearly Id be using a goodrx coupon because my insurance refused to cover the extra I would need a month for the condition of which I take it for- so its cheaper to use good rx. Well THAT wasn't the problem. The problem was apparently that I was on day 76 or something of 90 *EARLY which I would be as I was doubled on my does* and the lady that assisted me had to basically talk to the pharmacist and get permission from them explaining my concerns and the fact that its a known issue with this one to STOP cold turkey-and then they acted as if they were doing me some HUGE favor that I should be totally thankful for - reminding me MULTIPLE TIMES that I need to make sure my doctor calls them to update my dose instructions . No ma'am. I WON'T be doing that in fact I'm definitely switching pharmacies after this- I don't care how much "cheaper " some of their prescriptions are compared to other places- Ill pay a few extra dollars if it means I don't have to deal with the judgmental eye rolls I get from the people here. As a patient- I personally DO NOT CARE what kind of moneu the pharmacy loses by dispensing drugs as ORDERED per prescription, I expect that I have a trusted place where my doctor can send my prescription orders and they actually get filled and released to me without stipulations or having to jump through rings of fire. I also expect my pharmacy to READ THE LABLES of the drugs they pull out of the drawer and try to hand people. This pharmacy is not a place that I trust.

17 people in line at 3pm on a Wednesday. I’m only inside because there were too many cars to safely get into the line outdoors. Please figure something out, this is beyond unacceptable and it’s the same experience no matter the time of day. The worst HEB pharmacy in central Texas!!!

This pharmacy is focused only on maximization of pharmaceutical claims and is NOT AT FOCUSED on the end users bottom line.
Expect to pay a copay when you’ve reached your max out of pocket and deductible
You can provide them 100% proof that your insurance paid in full and this pharmacy will REFUSE a refund in overpayment to you.
Be warned. Be prepared.

Gave me the wrong needles for my dogs insulin. Said to come back after me getting home, told them wasn't going to do that. Blamed me for not checking the bag contents!? Hadn't had this issue since 8 months ago when the vet across the street first sent the prescription. Was told the needle exchange would be a one time deal and only for today!? The rep blamed the vets prescription for the mixup, mind you, as I stated before, I hadn't had this issue since 8 months ago, since then the correct "box" of needles has been given every refill! Ended up calling corporate to report the issue, shouldn't have to go back/forth about these types of issues! What happened to the customer is always right!? I guess when you get larger, you lose sight of customer service. I paid for their product, I expect to get what I paid for, not settle for less! This isn't food we're talking about here, this is people's medications! If you can't get it right the first time, then maybe you shouldn't be working in that department. You want us to check each time we go there!? How about you each check, double check and triple check to make sure the customer gets what they ordered!
