I tried CorePower for the first time after a colleague recommended it—she loves it so much she even became an instructor. I’ve been looking for a new workout regimen, so I decided to give it a shot.
On ClassPass, only C2 was listed for the Mueller location, but the instructor kindly switched me to C1. I’m not sure why C1 doesn’t appear in the ClassPass schedule, but that was a helpful adjustment.
The staff was friendly, though I didn’t feel the environment was particularly welcoming. I also noticed the restroom and shower area weren’t very clean, which was disappointing.
My instructor was Brooke. At the start of class, she demonstrated the poses as she introduced them, which was helpful, but once the workout picked up, I found myself forgetting which names matched which positions. Since I’m brand new to yoga, I would have appreciated more hands-on guidance and adjustments. I know I was off in some poses but didn’t receive any corrections.
Overall, the class itself was good, but the experience could have been much better with a warmer welcome and a bit more individualized support. Starting something new already feels awkward, so that extra attention would have made a big difference. I was genuinely interested in continuing and even considered signing up, but given the experience, I’ve decided to keep looking for the right fit.
