Dr. Gregory is an exceptional audiologist who pays attention to one's history and one's needs. She observed that I had significant change since last year. When I commented about ringing in my ears possibly interfering with my test, she redid it because of the unexpected results. She adjusted the setting on my Phonak Roger microphone and my hearing aid. The two devices work much better. Background noise is no longer a problem when I go to a noisy restaurant with my daughter.

Frequently Asked Questions About AudioNova

When should I use hearing protection?

You should always use hearing protection when engaging in high-noise recreational activities or work (examples: hunting, music concerts, motorsports, construction). Noise-induced hearing loss can result from prolonged exposure or a single, extremely loud event. If you notice ringing in your ears or temporary hearing loss after loud noise exposure, the environment was too noisy and could be harmful. If ringing or temporary hearing loss is persistent, contact us for a hearing evaluation.

Should I get my hearing tested?

If you suspect that you or a loved one may be experiencing hearing loss, it’s recommended you seek help sooner rather than later. Hearing loss tends to develop gradually and is often noticeable to friends and family before the individual realizes it. Identifying and treating hearing loss promptly is important — ignoring it can lead to long-term effects, including increased risk of depression and dementia.
