  Dealing with the financial/ billing team has been a nightmare. They can’t give you a straight answer on anything. I was mislead and ill advised on costs before my appointments and now the amount I owe in the portal keeps changing. They also keep updating this number without providing an itemized statement so you also don’t even know what you’re paying for. I have made many attempts to handle my issues privately, offline, but after no attempts from Aspire to reach out to explain and settle this, I wanted to make my experience known. I have been asking to speak to a supervisor for over a month and they keep saying a message will be left for them to reach out to me. I have heard nothing. I also have reached out to various teams in the portal, where they again say they’ll have the financial team reach out. After reading other reviews, it seems like this is a common issue. This is especially disheartening when fertility is a fragile issue and women are already in a vulnerable state and now we also have to spend time and energy chasing answers pertaining to our health, not to mention finances that many of us have saved up years to figure out in order to even have options.

  The reviews here are insanely inflated. This company has the poorest communication and sloppiest work I have seen from a doctors office. Sure they look as bougie as an office gets, but the facade stops there. Here are examples of the sloppy attention to patient care. They referred us to another specialty doctor, giving them the wrong DOB. They never billed insurance correctly, four calls over 3 months have been provided, and emails were still received with a fictitious balance. They did a blood test prematurely, where another fertility specialist explained it was not indicative of true results. The NP that we saw did not explain IVF milestones and time frames over the three visits that we were seen, so we floated through the process with minimal understanding. The next practice we went to actually spent the time to lay it out for us. When requesting medical records sent to a different practice, it wasn't sent to completion according to the other doctor's office. Both they and I called 5 times over a week, and didn't get a hold of a nurse, MA, medical records, or anyone else that would return the call to either of us. I'd recommend staying away, even though the office looks so warm and inviting.

  My kids are a little over 18 months now so this is beyond overdue. We owe everything to Aspire for helping us start our family! Dr Prokai is compassionate, empathetic, understanding, and will always put the patient's needs first. Special shoutout to Jenna for also just being so on top of things. IVF and fertility treatments are a whirlwind and take a lot out of you mentally, emotionally, and physically. This staff is a true partner in that journey and I can't recommend them enough. Thank you thank you, Dr. Prokai!

  Avoid Aspire Austin - constant mistakes from the clinical staff, completely inept management / staff who treat patients like a cash machine and nothing more. There are so many other great clinics in Austin – please look elsewhere!

  Update: After posting my complaint, the Financial Manager called me—not to apologize for delaying my care, but to 'educate' me on how lucky I am to have good insurance. She admitted they quote long wait times to everyone as a standard policy to cover themselves. It was condescending and completely missed the point: I had the approval ready, and they refused to look at it. This clinic treats patients like numbers to be processed, not humans on a biological clock. Original post: I am writing this to warn other patients who are on strict biological timelines. While the clinical side may be fine, the financial/administrative team at this clinic is completely disconnected from the reality of fertility treatment. I urgently needed to schedule an ultrasound for the very next day to stay within my clinical window. I proactively emailed the financial team with my proof of coverage attached to ensure there were no delays. Instead of helping me, they replied with a generic template telling me standard authorizations take "7-10 business days." To tell a fertility patient they have to wait two weeks for administrative paperwork when they need to be seen tomorrow—especially when the patient has already provided the necessary documentation—is negligent. It felt like they were taunting me with bureaucracy while my treatment window closed. This process is stressful enough without the administrative staff actively obstructing your care. If you have a complex schedule or a tight timeline, be very careful trusting this office to handle your paperwork in time.
