  This urgent care is always so friendly and efficient once you get called back to be seen. They are kind, caring and wonderful when you need immediate care.

  Had a very poor experience at this urgent care today. The front desk staff and nurse were excellent and apologetic about it, but it seemed that they were so short-staffed today that the facility should not have opened. I made an appointment and was not taken to a room until 2 hours after my appointment time. There were two other people in the waiting room when I arrived and only one more after me. This was not a busy urgent care. All I needed was a strep swab and some antibiotics if it came back positive. Most urgent cares can and have provided this care in less than an hour. But this process took AFC an additional 2+ hours. On top of the 2 I'd already spent sick in their waiting room. I cannot overstate what a bizarre experience it is to spend half your workday waiting in a dead silent building with almost no patients. A large percentage of that time was spent with a doctor who - by her own admission - didn't really know what she was doing. It was her first day (I think at this clinic, but perhaps being a doctor) so I suspect she was nervous. But it is extremely uncomfortable when your doctor tells you all the things they don't know about what they're doing. That they didn't figure out how to use the otoscope until the previous patient, can't remember the name of the medication they're about to prescribe me. Or when she starts the conversation with "I haven't looked at your charts." She also spent so much time with me. Ordinarily, I'd praise a doctor spending lots of time with patients. But after spending 4+ hours on a simple test and prescription, I really just wanted to wrap up and go home.

  I had an outstanding experience at AFC Urgent Care on South Mopac. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this clinic is run with professionalism, organization, and genuine attention to patient care. The facility itself was extremely clean and well maintained. Everything felt orderly and well managed, which immediately created a sense of confidence in the care being provided. April, the medical assistant, truly stood out. She was attentive, detail-oriented, and helped keep everything running smoothly throughout the visit. Her professionalism and calm, organized approach ensured that nothing was overlooked. At the front desk, Neena and Mia were so welcoming, efficient, and courteous, helping the check-in process move quickly and smoothly. Shanice, the medical provider, was excellent; highly knowledgeable, observant, and very comprehensive in her evaluation. She carefully assessed everything and explained things clearly, making sure the important details were addressed while still keeping the visit efficient. A special acknowledgment to Center Manager Kaiulani, whose excellent leadership clearly shows throughout the clinic. It’s evident that this level of professionalism and organization starts with strong leadership, and the phenomenal team reflects that standard in every step of the patient experience; organized, professional, attentive, and clearly focused on patient care. Overall, the staff demonstrated a rare combination of thoroughness, efficiency, professionalism and compassion. I left feeling confident that the team was knowledgeable, careful, and genuinely committed to doing things right. If you’re looking for urgent care that is organized, professional, attentive, genuinely considerate, and focused on patient care, this location is an excellent choice.
