I love the brand, so I was stoked to see they had a new store nearby in Arlington -- and to boot, an in-house optometrist, AND they took my vision insurance! Yesterday, I made an appointment online for 10:45am this morning, the first available appointment. I filled out the easy intake packet online last night. They double checked my insurance over text! I was really happy.... yesterday. I arrived early to my appointment because the standard email that I was sent stated that if I were more than 5 minutes late, my appointment might be cancelled. As a healthcare professional in private practice myself, I completely get that and so I got there waaaayyy early and waited in my car until it was 10:45. The two folks who were there to help check me in were great. They said the optometrist was running a little late; okay, no problem... it gave me time to browse their frames. Then at 11:00am, the optometrist called and I was then told that she had been "called out 2 hours ago" -- not sure what that means, but for me it meant they would need to cancel and reschedule my appointment. Nope! You've got one chance with a new patient. This was it. I would have been far more willing to reschedule had they called this morning. It speaks to a significant lack of patient care.
