The Northwest Texas Healthcare System, in Amarillo, Texas, was designated as the Lead Trauma Facility for the top 26 counties within the Texas Panhandle by the Texas Department of State Health Services. As the lead Level II Trauma Facility in the region, we provide the highest level of care and life-saving treatment as recognized by the state of Texas and the American College of Surgeons.
