  I was referred to Dr lagrone back in January for an appointment in March that my primary doctor had set up. The referral had to be sent 3 times (it happens no big deal) . I called making sure my referral went through so I could get an appointment set up . After verifying they take my insurance and it's listed on their website also The staff were not really helpful and told me they would call me and my referral need to be reviewed and that there wasn't available until April anyways. Okay I understand how it works because I used to work in a medical office scheduling the staff member was off putting and not very helpful so I just thought I would wait until they called like she said..well 2 weeks go by i tried calling didn't get an answer and I don't hear anything back so I messaged my doctor who originally sent referral so my doctors staff called and got me an appointment set up for March. I have had this appointment now for 3 weeks I get a call today saying they canceled my appointment because I'm not in network after verifying with my insurance company and it being listed on accepted insurance on their website. She told me the one o had was different so I checked with my insurance portal this didn't seem to be the case at all! Even if my insurance was out of network why would they have scheduled me and then wait 2 weeks for my appointment that I have been waiting to get since January!!! Regardless of the scheduling and the insurance situation the office staff members that I spoke with on the phone each time were very off putting and rude! I was really looking forward to seeing doctor Lagrone, but even if I could get in, the unprofessionalism of his front office staff would steer me elsewhere!

  Dr. LaGrone is a kind and genuinely caring doctor. Can't recommend a better rheumatologist.
