In a late stage capitalist economy where profits are king and vibes are optional, CorePower Yoga has truly optimized the bag. Respect. Honestly, from a business standpoint? Elite execution.
But calling this yoga is like me calling flatbread a pizza, Pop-Tart a calzone, or gelato ice cream. Sure, technically related… but spiritually? Absolutely not. Somewhere, Patanjali is filing a noise complaint.
The staff is genuinely lovely, no notes there. And yes, you will sweat. A lot. But this is not yoga. This is a HIIT class wearing yoga pants as a disguise. The music is aggressively loud, the instructor is on a mic competing with said music, and my nervous system left my body around minute seven. It felt like we’re storming Normandy. My Apple Watch thought I was being chased.
Yoga Sculpt is advertised as vinyasa yoga blended with strength training. What I experienced was pure strength training with zero vinyasa and negative chill. I did squats, lunges, and existential questioning, but not yoga.
To be clear: it’s not bad. It’s just, mislabeled. Rename it “CorePower CrossFit Lite With Stretching Adjacent Moments” and I’d give it more stars. Until then, this is yoga in the same way Taco Bell is Mexican food.
I came for inner peace. I left with quad soreness , trust issues, my chakras are rattled and my ears are ringing.
Namaste, but aggressively!

Don’t waste your time. Will deny entry if you show up on the dot. Was late bc your suite is labeled #320 instead of #220 on ClassPass, maybe fix that before being late fee charge happy and denying entry. Waste of time & money trying to come to this studio!

This was my first time doing any group fitness class, and I was nervous, but Megan made me feel so welcome and her class was so much fun. I definitely recommend it!

I’ve been taking Megan’s class for years. She is an excellent teacher who inspires me to do my best. She also is so smart and knows so much about the exercises and anatomy!
