I received excellent service from Kayla as she helped me update my look with new eyeglasses and sunglasses. I appreciated her advice on my selections, immediately directing me away from less flattering choices to ones that suited me better. And she was very knowledgeable about the frame selections. Thank you, Kayla.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful from the time I walked in until I left. I was checked in for my appointment which was handled promptly. It is important to me to have good customer service. When choosing my frames I was asked what I was looking for and Wanda helped me pick out some frames. I tried on several and was not rushed to make a decision. I was treated as a customer they cared about and not like another sale. It was my first visit to Dr Chu and Lens Crafters and I plan on being a return customer.

I am writing this to warn others about a catastrophic dispensing error at this location. I was dispensed Acuvue Oasys Max for Astigmatism lenses that completely omitted my medically required +1.50 ADD multifocal correction. When I questioned the fit, I was told the correct lenses were "more expensive," indicating a choice was made to prioritize store inventory over my safety. This medical omission triggered a severe vestibular crisis (violent vertigo) and a physical fall. I was rushed to the Emergency Room ($13,000+ bill) and am now under the care of a Neurologist. By giving me the wrong medical device, this office caused a total conflict between my visual and balance systems. I have physical proof of the incorrect boxes and have filed formal reports with: The Tennessee Board of Dispensing Opticians (Office of Investigations) and Superior Vision (Quality of Care Grievance). This is not just a "bad prescription"—it is a failure of clinical standards that resulted in a medical emergency. Avoid this location if you require precise multifocal care.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
