I had the worst experience I’ve ever had with LensCrafters. I went into the store to pick up my glasses, and as soon as I walked outside, I could tell my prescription was off. When I tried to read a text, it was immediately obvious something was wrong. I went straight back into the store and was approached by an employee named Karen. I tried to explain what was happening, but she was extremely rude and kept cutting me off. She pulled up a tablet and immediately told me I needed bifocals, which made no sense to me. She then took my old glasses to the back to check the prescription. When she returned, she tried to compare my old prescription to the new one, but her explanation didn’t make sense at all. While looking at the tablet, I noticed my date of birth was wrong. My birth year is 1983, but it was listed as 1963. When I pointed this out, she snapped at me instead of acknowledging the mistake. I asked several times to see what she had written down for my old prescription, but she refused to show me and even crumpled up the sticky note. At that point, I told another employee that I did not want her assisting me anymore due to how rude she was. Thankfully, that employee asked someone else to help me. I ended up needing another eye exam because the new prescription was NOT correct, which explained why I couldn’t see properly. I was seen by a different doctor, and I’m hoping that when I return to pick up my glasses, the issue will finally be fixed. Before leaving, I was helped by another employee at the front who was respectful, kind, and made the rest of the transaction a much better experience. Unfortunately, the damage was already done. I will not be returning to LensCrafters, and I do not recommend them.

Kayla was amazing to work with. She helped me pick out both contact lenses and glasses, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process easy. She also gave me a discount on both, which I really appreciated. Great customer service from start to finish.

I've been going to a LensCrafters for 20 years. They have always been good and have the brand of glasses I'm looking for. Up until a couple of years ago the Murfreesboro was just as good. I had an appointment in May of this year to get an updated prescription but they called me and said I didn't need it so I changed it for next year. Today I went in to get new sunglasses and get a 2nd pair of regular glasses. Apparently you can't buy glasses there after a year without seeing a doctor. I've been in other LC that let me buy glasses well over a year so I'm not sure what this rule is about. I left and went into another place and they were more than happy to help me. They lost my business. Update off of their response. Apparently they take no responsibility locally which is even worse. Why do I need to go to another website to tell them you suck!? I've spend enough time money and gas on this. You are done!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
