Today, I went to my appointment, while checking in they asked for my vision insurance as well as my medical insurance card, they told me that they had a new policy with new owners. After 45 minutes waiting they called me back and told me that my vision copay was 45.00 , fine though they wanted another 160.00 for a medical test, I told them that I just came from my doctors and all my tests go through my provider. They said that they would take my copay but they doctor that was going to give me an eye exam probably would not examine me though they wanted my money, did I mention the doctor wasn’t there and they didn’t know when he would return as he was 45 minutes late for my appointment..

Went for an eye exam. Word to the wise; DON'T. The doctor was fine. The assistants were less than qualified and mostly rude. All this on top of the fact I had been told "$0 co pay" only to find out when I arrived "that will be $134..." Never again. I would have saved money, time, and frustration going to...well anywhere else.

Lost a hard lens, stopped in to see if something could be done in a hurry without an appointment. They saw me in less than two hours. Fast and easy! I’m very pleased all around!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
