Had the UFE procedure couple months ago by Dr. Cohen and I don't have any complaints about him. However, the entire process hasn't been pleasant. I wasn't informed the amount I will be paying up front for the surgery until a week prior which was not ideal, not everyone has $1645 sitting around. Despite me calling way before then to see if they can give me an estimate, my insurance told me without procedure codes they had no way of knowing. The front desk staff is friendly and attentive, but I had an personal issue the week before Christmas that prompted me to speak with the NP that seen me during my follow up who said she will send over a prescription i needed urgently. It was never called in so I called again the following day to remind her.

I wish I had called them sooner!!!!! But worrying about costs and other issues kept me from doing so! However , late August I decided to finally make the move. Found VIP from a Google search and couldn’t be happier !
From the first appointment, I could tell this would be entirely different from anything else I had ever experienced! The front office staff were friendly and informative, and one thing that really stuck out was how clean and nice and efficient the entire place was !
I saw a nurse practitioner that day as well as the ultrasound technicians, but unfortunately the doctor who was set to go over everything with me got called away so I didn’t meet him until the day of my procedure several weeks later , but they did so well explaining and setting everything up so it wasn’t a problem.
I had two separate radio frequency ablation with foam sclerotherapy procedures on back to back days and THAT was beyond amazing. I was extremely nervous but the nurses, CRNAs, Dr Cohen and every other staff member did so wonderful, by the second day I was much better knowing what to expect! It’s rare that a facility provides the degree of sedation for these things from what I’ve heard , and I feel this really sets them apart from everyone. Not to mention just how kind and compassionate they all are ! I don’t believe I’ve ever had such a good medical experience in my life !
Between nerves and medicine I didn’t remember all of the names of every person who had anything to do with my care these last two days (10/6 and 10/7) but maybe it can be found and passed along to them!
If you’re scared or have questions or ANY reservations about getting anything done in the vascular discipline, they will take excellent care of you and you’ll have no regrets!! I finally got something fixed that had been bothering me for a long time and had a fantastic experience! IF I ever need to utilize them again, I will do it quickly. Very highly recommend!!!
