- JCjohn cicalaAug 21, 20255.0Finally reached the point where there was enough (moderate) high frequency hearing loss to get hearing aids. Shanal was very patient and helpful. Settled on a set of non-AI Phonax, which seemed to make some difference, but not a drastic amount. Then, we added a portable device, called a Roger, which is basically a combo microphone and pointer. That has made a HUGE difference; it’s like wearing studio headphones and everyone is speaking directly into a microphone. It can be adjusted for one-on-one conversations or table talk. The Roger has given me much better and clearer hearing again. Thanks, Shanal!!!
