I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I feel this one is necessary.
My son previously had orthodontic treatment at Witherow Orthodontics, and we had a good experience, which is why I felt comfortable calling to schedule a first-time consultation for myself as an adult patient.
During the call, the receptionist asked if I would be using insurance. I explained that I would not, since my insurance does not cover orthodontic treatment. She still insisted on knowing which insurance I had, so I asked her to hold briefly while I grabbed my insurance card.
According to our office’s own recorded call system, I was disconnected after just 22 seconds. When I called back and asked why, I was told, “we’re super busy.”
I understand that offices get busy, but disconnecting a first-time patient that quickly, without waiting longer or calling back, felt dismissive and unprofessional.
Because of that experience, I won’t be moving forward here. If it would be helpful for staff training, I would be happy to share the recording.
