The Little Clinic is located right inside your neighborhood grocery store. Our board-certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants can diagnose and treat minor illnesses, administer vaccines, provide physicals and much more! Plus, we are open 7 days a week and we take most insurance plans.
I've left dozens of reviews for different things through the years and this is probably the first time I've given anything less than four stars! I'm 63 years old and I pretty much know the conditions I get annually!
I had a cough that was lasting me almost 2 weeks and it did feel like it was post nasal drip but I couldn't be sure! So I went into the little clinic because my pharmacy at the Kroger is next door to it! So I thought well I'm sure this is an antibiotic issue so I go in and the receptionist is really kind very nice which is why I gave this two stars and not one!
I got in to see a medical person I'm not sure if they were a doctor or a physician's assistant! Anyway I told her my condition and past conditions and that I hadn't had an antibiotic since April of 2019 when I was in the hospital 5 days for sepsis!
When I went in initially to wait on a medical person I saw a sign on the wall describing about seven or eight reasons antibiotics shouldn't be prescribed or used so I knew right then this is probably going to result in not getting what I need!
No lab tests were conducted and it was pretty much guesswork by the medical person who looked at me! she prescribed a throat medicine and an inhaler! Both of which can cause drowsiness and I drive an 18-wheeler! Needless to say I never used the medicine!
So I went back out on the road for 2 weeks had the same cough and then came home. I went to MMC Murfreesboro Medical Clinic in Murfreesboro and I saw Shelby who was I believe a PA and after describing my conditions past and present she gave me an antibiotic (8 Day usage) and a nasal spray! I never used the nasal spray but I did start on the antibiotics and within 4 days my cough subsided to almost nothing!
I understand the reason for reluctance to prescribe antibiotics! However when a person says they have a condition and have had that condition in the past and antibiotics was pretty much the proper treatment and then the medical person ignores that! Well it tells me that their anti-antibiotic conviction comes before treatment!
I have been going to the MMC clinic for many years and even my doctor Scott Eller works there as to several other medical professionals like Kristine Sherman! So from here on I will go to my clinic regarding any issues! Really debated on whether I should review this clinic but perhaps someone who is in my shoes knows that an antibiotic is probably going to be the cure for their ailment probably should avoid The Little clinic at least in Lebanon Tennessee! I'm sure this clinic is really good in other areas but I guess this will be my last time going ever!
