  I secured an agreement for an overnight stay by Home Instead after my operation on September 24, 2025. This was required by my surgeon's office. The caregiver was about half an hour late and started to enter my apartment. Seeing my cat, she started gibbering that "she couldn't do this" and backed away. Eventually, and with a curt explanation that she was allergic to animals, she left. I called the service and explained the problem, and the receptionist somewhat hesitantly indicated that they might, at the very last moment, get someone to stay with me. She tried to suggest that advising the agency that I had a cat was my responsibility. On the contrary, I contended, if there are screening issues, they should be included on the voluminous paperwork I had to complete. It is the responsibility of the agency, not the client, to determine if there are pets present AND if their service personnel have allergies. I asked to speak with the manager of the operation, and was told that she had gone home for the day and that a return call would be placed to me the next day. It never was. I made other arrangements for the night. This agency deserves a zero score for performance and a zero score for follow up. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS AGENCY TO ANYONE IN NEED OF RESPONSIBLE AND RESPONSIVE CARE.

  Maria Gordy has done a wonderful job helping today with my life plans and my weight loss journey and supporting my pet also. She has done a great job to make me feel cared for!

  Thank you y’all have been beyond wonderful. My mom is so much happier. She’s gained a little weight, is always clean and well cared for. When I had questions they were so helpful. I can’t recommend them enough. I literally feel like I have gotten my life back.

  My caregiver has been great, that star is for her... the company however completely sucks. Nikki is rude and the place is completely mismanaged. They have an impossible time filling open slots when my caregiver was not available. And my caregiver has complained that she does not get paid mileage correctly that they argue with her about every little thing. And Nikki is constantly talking bad about other people. The place is not professional. And they absolutely do lie about things. I've been reading the other reviews and I understand all of them. I am getting this care through the VA as I am a disabled vet and I recently asked to be transferred out of home instead and will be getting a new company taken care of me starting this week!
