I was in there for over an hour & never greeted not once. From optical to Dr. Frye’s front desk staff they act like they rather pass away than say hello to a customer. I was not acknowledged not once. I worked in ophthalmology in Boston, MA, Baltimore, MD & Nashville. I get it some days are harder than others. You still have to clock in & be pleasant at your job that you get paid to do!

I had a warranty claim for my Meta AI Glasses (Gen 1) fulfilled through LensCrafters, and the experience was extremely disappointing.
It ended up taking four weeks just to have the lenses cut, largely because the lenses were initially cut too small, which caused additional delays while the issue had to be corrected. Instead of clearly explaining the situation, the staff was often unfriendly and unhelpful, and at times blamed the delay on the prescription rather than acknowledging the mistake.
Because of the delays and poor communication, I had to drive from East Nashville to the store six different times, wasting time and gas just trying to get updates on the status of my glasses.
To make matters worse, when I raised concerns about the inconvenience, I was told that because the glasses were considered “free,” no compensation could be offered. This was frustrating because the original glasses cost over $700, and I was simply using a $500 reimbursement toward the replacement through LensCrafters.
Overall, what should have been a simple warranty replacement turned into a four-week ordeal, multiple unnecessary trips, and a frustrating customer service experience. I hope LensCrafters improves their communication, quality control, and customer service so other customers don’t have to deal with the same situation.

Out of my 25 years of eye exams, this was downright the most pleasant experience! From the gentleman who signed me in to the lady who did my tests to Dr. Thomas Jefferson to the lady who walked me through my contacts and cashed me out, everyone was so friggin' nice. They all took the time to explain every step. I scheduled my exam because I was going to be in the area already but this is now my preferred optometrist and I'll drive from Lebanon in the future.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
