I am deeply grateful to Chelsea Bricker and the team at Daybreak for everything they did for my family. Chelsea is a genuine and skilled therapist who shows how much she really cares about her clients. DBT is most effective with the kind of structure that Daybreak provides and the results we experienced reflect such. It is VERY hard to find good intensive mental health treatment in the area and we were not left wanting. I strongly recommend the center to anyone looking for these kinds of services for their kid.

Went here as a kid. I was dismissed and treated with contempt. Staff was rude, controlling and the whole thing felt disingenuous. They later went on to sue my financially struggling family at the time.
What a grift.

I went here in 2012 as a 12 year old child. I am now a mental health professional and I work in advocacy for abused children. At the time of being at Daybreak, I was being physically abused by my parents. I disclosed this to the staff at this center and all of them failed to uphold Tennessee's Mandatory Reporting Laws. Please train your staff on how to recognize child abuse and the importance of mandatory reporting.

i am going to preface this review with they are good on an individual level with treating patients, and the aspect of it not being a full time program is very helpful in not getting overwhelmed. however what I need to say is that the group program itself is lackluster at best, the program involves going over 35 different skills to help emotionally regulate yourself. THAT was very helpful in my experience however the staff was not well equipped in helping individual patients during their stay. furthermore the schooling program was absolutely terrible, we sat at desks and did random work for 3 hours of the day, and weren't able to really ask for help during this. I went there as a senior in highschool and was nearly screwed out of being able to graduate because of how ill-prepared the teaching staff was for their students. over all, I would suggest that you only send someone here as a better alternative to lakeside, and ONLY if they're under the age of 15 or so. anybody older than that will have a very hard time throughout the program and will more than likely leave the program more stressed than when they arrived
