Nothing but problems with Cookeville Kroger Pharmacy. Immediately transferring every single prescription due to the customer service received.

Just moved to Cookeville and had outpatient surgery at Vanderbilt in Lebanon where I also own property. Kroger would not fill my prescription and was told because it came from Lebanon and my license has not been physically updated(has been updated with state). Didn't realize they could just turn down needed prescriptions. Thank you Cookeville Publix for doing your job!

Were very helpful and understanding they realized the situation took charge and fixed it. I'm sorry but I must change my review due to the fact that once they took charge and fixed the problem and we're appreciated and thanked truly they were mad at me and my fiance because we asked corporate why we couldn't continue to use them they said we should absolutely be able to after 1 month I was informed that I was not appreciated because I called corporate for information it struck me because we thought everything was settled next they slowly pushed my fiance out by making her wait 1 week without her meds saying they were out till x date so she waited in fear they would refuse her if she filled elswere then after another wait they again told her that the truck didn't make it it could be 15 to 20 days my wife ask should I try to locate a temp pharmacy and rather than telling her wait you can use any Kroger they let her find a place on her own and refused her service when she took had her new scripts faxed there I read an article that said a pharmacist has moral obligation to his or her patients to ensure that they get them there medications weather through threre business or by referall or direction in such a situation that the lack of this medication could cause serious withdrawal symtoms, siezures, even death. My wife was never treated with respect only discriminated against due to the medication she took and it's purpose that said Kroger has no policy in place for this kind of action the other large chain that tried this did the right thing they stopped judging and lying and just stopped supplying the medication , I think if they are forced to hire pharmacist that act in this manner they did the right thing. I can't believe someone that holds such a position and sees what they see could ever treat anyone the way they do hang a sign advertise it but please don't treat people this way when they don't know to fill a prescription for a medicine that has changed so many lives for the better that new rules will appear weekly to encourage you to leave due to bieng out of your meds you do have an oath to your patients and community and it's ashame you don't uphold your obligation because speaking as a patient myself when your untruthfull, weekly policy changes cause a death or a relapse you will have to live with the fact you did not uphold the duties as a board certified pharmacist and in some way may have contributed to more than just one relapse or death but a generation loss

Very slow! Most of the staff is friendly, but it’s the same old thing every time you go. The wait is outrageous. You can call in your meds hours in advance and they won’t be ready and in a labeled bottle and packaged bag. No matter if you called it in at 10AM to have ready for pick up by 5PM, it has not once happened for me. Each and every time I have to wait for them to completely fill my medication and it takes a long time. This happens all of the time in the drive though, and it seems like it happens to almost every single vehicle too. The average interaction at the drive through window is 10 minutes PER vehicle! So if you are third in line, get ready to wait a minimum of 30 minutes for for your medication. They prioritize the window, and run to get all the meds ready (from the beginning of the filling process) for each vehicle at the drive through. It makes for a super messy and horrible customer experience. Also, if a medication is not ready for a refill or not covered by insurance, don’t expect a call. You will wait 25-45min (my average wait time every time I go *during slow hours*), and you will find out either you pay a giant bill or you walk away with nothing. And, it absolutely won’t be ready for pick up, because they will tell you they didn’t fill anything “because it wasn’t covered or ready for a refill unless paid for early refill”. Yet, no warning call. Also, if you ask them to mark you down for a call or text message alert for when your medication is ready for pick up, you won’t receieve anything. I haven’t once and ask every time. Overall this pharmacy is very poorly ran by management and they desperately need a new system in place where they actually fill called in medication so it’s ready to go upon pick up. They need to make use of their automated system to send out “ready for pick up” notifications. I have never in my life had these issues with a pharmacy. I’d suggest finding a place that will execute their jobs in a better fashion.
