  Home Instead is a perfect name, because when they are supposed to be working with your elderly parent, come to find out their "Home Instead." I'm about to drop this company. The pictures on their Google site aren't accurate. I've had two care givers who wore that uniform shirt, the rest wear street clothes. The pictures show them working with their patient, but in reality they may work 15-30 minutes on their shift and then focus on their phones. I've had a few who could cook, but most have trouble making a sandwich, or making rice (in a rice cooker), when they show up late they asked if we can just push their schedule back to compensate for them not showing up on time. It's like we have to bend to meet their needs. Those days are done. From now on, I what a weekly phone call to my cell, verifying who is coming each of the assigned days that week. Sunday is normally my favorite day of the week, but unfortunately this week I'm unable to worship with my church family.

  We've been dealing with this company for over a year now. The communication is HORRIBLE or non existent. Scott, a "manager", and Michelle, a "newer manager" lie about what they've done or what they will do. The company has a client care coordinator come to your home to set up a "plan" as to what is going to be done, yet it doesn't occur as agreed upon. OFTEN times the aides don't show up, and there's rarely a call to let you know, and most times no one to replace them. Many of the aides are NOT qualified to take care of these patients, nor do they have the desire to care for them. If you go with this company, be sure to get every single person's name you speak to, the date and what they said. If you can get documentation, GET IT. Be prepared to have to explain, watch, and go over duties that need to be done, again and again. It's sad that people go into this occupation, and don't have the love, nor compassion for the patients and their families. I don't know who is truly in charge, nor who is supposed to follow up with making sure things are being done, and done correctly, because it doesnt happen. Again, no one takes accountability for their actions, words, or lack-there-of. Don't let them fool you. I WILL say, the aides need to be paid FAR more than what they are. You can't expect a high quality of care, with such low wadges.

  Home Instead is a wonderful facility who caters to all of my mom’s personal and physical needs each day. The staff and caregivers exuberate patience and love towards her and for that I am truly grateful. They are also very dependable and reliable as well. I would definitely recommend this facility to a friend or family member. Home Instead we appreciate all that you do!
