We also had an unfortunate experience one caregiver stole my disabled veterans credit card information one cursed him out all slept and only one was decent out of a year and 1/2 we tried talking about it and overall it was too much for a house with a toddler. All the talking was pointless scheduling did as they chose staff left when they wanted and very little help was given. When I brought up staff leaving I literally had to check my camera and report and they acted like they didn’t know staff left staff slept and staff acted like they didn’t know what to do except sit or sleep like come on a few did help a little but overall it was more cleaning up for me to deaf ears

I only utilized this service for two months at 21 hours per week. It was an unfortunate experience overall. The issues were too numerous to accept or tolerate and would’ve required an exhausting amount of effort on my part to rectify the myriad issues of the subpar service provided by this company. To begin with, these things should never have happened. The following are only the highlights. Services overall during shift were lackluster at best and many liberties were taken as well. I was paired with three caregivers for my family member. There was a chronic lack of punctuality across the board with every caregiver. Some were more chronic than others, however, all struggled to be on time. Being on time is being at the designated place, at the designated time, ready to go. I also frequently had to alter my schedule to accommodate the caregivers’ changing needs and/or lack of time management. This is the antithesis of what I pay for. I was also charged for the full time on many shifts where the caregiver somehow clocked in “on time”, although she wasn’t. I had already politely addressed this issue and was assured it would be addressed and rectified. If that happened at all, it didn’t take. The first caregiver was pulled from shifts after being chronically over 10 minutes late to the majority of shifts. This was after the assurances this issue would be addressed, etc. The final straw was a shift where she was 30 (!!) minutes late and then had the audacity to ask to leave 30 minutes early as well. The second caregiver took property of mine. Given, it was a coffee mug costing under $10, however, therein lies the point and principal. I saw her put this mug in her work tote and consistently try to tuck it out of sight when she thought I wasn’t paying attention as I caught up with her at the end of shift. I was so flabbergasted that I was at a loss to find a diplomatic way to broach the subject before she left. I asked for an alternate caregiver due to my family member’s agitation with the third caregiver. Despite vigorous and sympathetic reassurances, there was a lack of urgency, timeliness, communication and seemingly, care in fulfilling the request, which, ultimately never got fulfilled although it had been two weeks. In the end, I wrote a letter to inform the management of my experience and to give two weeks’ notice per their contract requirement. I received an email reply with the typical apologetic platitudes and gratitude for my feedback. In the letter, I also included photographic proof of the mug that stolen from me. A few days later, I received a second email informing me that my mug had been recovered and asking if it should be mailed to me or brought to my home. I opted to have it mailed. I refuse to open my home to this outfit again for any reason, much less for the opportunity for someone to fall on their sword. It’s too little, too late. I have no idea if the thieving caregiver is still under Comfort Keepers’ employ. I highly suspect that these three caregivers are the full extent of the personnel the Chattanooga franchise has on hand. The above, in addition to the general lack of professionalism from the caregiver staff and coordination and communication by management further cemented my decision to terminate services with Comfort Keepers. I found the entire experience to be stressful as it added more effort on my part to obtain even semi-reliable coverage during an already trying time in my life. Regrettably, there was no comfort and very little care.
