Home Instead was exactly what we needed when we needed. They provided care for my Mother so she could recuperate and return to her regular life. Would totally recommend.

Home Instead have been providing care to my mother for about 3 years. She is currently 97. Where do I start?!? First, Rita and Greg worked to ensure the best fit for mom. As I believe with most people, there are individuals with whom you ‘click’ and others not as much. Clicking is even more important when establishing an intimate relationship. Mom’s Care Pros work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They attend to her personal needs I.e. assisting her in the shower and have full access to her home. A high level of comfort and trust is essential. She has two, one comes Monday and Friday and the other comes on Wednesday. Having two people is most beneficial as if one person is unable to attend it usually works out that the other person can. As mentioned, they attend to her personal needs as well as clean, do laundry and really anything else needed to have a clean and tidy home. In addition they make food such as muffins. At 97 mom has little appetite so they ensure the food they make is nutritious. Hydration is also considered and they ensure water is close by as her mobility is limited. She is taken to her nail appointments and other outings, as well, they pick up grocery items when required. This has been helpful for my sister and me. We trust them implicitly. Her mental wellness is also considered. Every visit they read and answer from a trivia book. This particular book contains Canadian history. At 97 mom has lived a lot of what is now history. This often sparks memories and stories. Their conversations are interesting and sincere. It doesn’t take too long to discover connections. I really cannot think of where they could improve. My sister and I are grateful that Home Instead have come into our lives and I know our mother feels the same. She has two more people in her life that care for her and she very much enjoys their company.

The bright, SO RELIABLE cheer and support that your caregivers bring every day into the life of my dad has been transforming for everyone, and we all benefit greatly. You make it possible for my dad to continue life as he would like it to be. Invaluable! Thank you so much!!!
