Being 94, the body needs more help than ever. Thank God, I am blessed with fairly good health, however, my eyes started to burn in the sharp sunlight, and they needed attention. Moving to Spartanburg, SC about a year ago, I needed a good eye doctor.
My daughter, Sharon, a nurse practitioner checked the possibilities, and she recommended Dr. Mark Roemmich. It is true, ask a nurse about obtaining excellent doctors, and they never come up short.
Just seeing and observing Dr. Roemmich, I knew the right choice had been taken. His manner toward his patients, his demeanor and professionalism shined like a colorful 4th of July firework celebration. I became more impressed with his detailed examination, his care and repeated slide to make sure I had selected the best lens for my needs. When a doctor displays that he cares, then he is the best. His character, his signature states: "There goes a man of my heart."
For Dr. Roemmich's professionalism, personality and candor toward others, especially his patients, it goes beyond the 5-star
status. Way beyond.
Thank you Dr. Roemmich and staff for making an old guy happy.
Respectfully,
Carmine Lombardo

Dr. Roemmich has apparently been practicing for over 30 years and it shows. I have a unique vision issue which always takes some time to address and this was my first exam with him. We found him from a friend’s recommendation and he was great. It was a busy day for him but he took the time necessary to do a thorough examination and was an excellent communicator concerning my eye problems. As a bonus he was personable and friendly. I highly recommend him and will be returning when needed.

As far as my actual eye exam, it went great! The Dr. is very nice, doesn’t rush you, ask a good bit of questions to understand your health and eye sight. Very polite and answered every question I had. As far as the retail side of the business, I would suggest checking other places if you are a contact wearer. They wanted to charge me $500.00 for a year’s worth of contacts. I went to Sam’s and got the same contacts for a year for $291.00. I think the lady that helped me with a glasses issue was named Cassie and she was really nice and helpful. The young lady that was working the exam side was wonderful!

Dr. Roemmich is great. He saw me when I had a fairly urgent eye issue and worked me in that day even though I didn't have an appointment. He's thorough, helpful, and just an all around good guy. Highly recommend.
