  Worst place ever. No one wants to work constantly pushed off to other departments. It shouldn't take an hour and 15 minutes to get paperwork printed

  My boyfriend had to go to the ER twice in a week and our RN Jake was awesome both times! He helped us by answering questions and helping us understand what was going on with my boyfriend. He even went above and beyond to get answers for us even though it wasn't his job! I would recommend anyone coming to the ER on Hilton Head Island to ask for the RN to be Jake!!! He truly was an angel in our time of need! Thanks Jake!

  The Dr. Bettle’s office is poorly run. They tell you to be on time and then make you wait an hour. I requested my money back and left. As I was walking out the door the front desk staff were snickering like middle school girls. They lack empathy and respect for people’s time. They simply don’t care. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

  Dr Amy Ramey was great but I was treated terribly by the lead nurse Chris in the emergency department.He didn't think I was aware but I heard and felt everything.When ems brought me in and told him I wanted to be checked out he nastily asked me three times "What can we check out?!" He told the paramedic he'd be glad when he leaves and he also mumbled stupid to himself and look at me with a menacingly snare after making both statements.He complained the entire time.He kept snatching and jerking my hand around when he collected blood samples.He was angry that the ER doctor wanted to run some test.When I got lost returning from the restroom the nurses at the station ignored me standing there and one said "and don't return" as I walked away.It's real scary how some of us are treated when we're vulnerable and others don't think we're aware.I think it was both racism and classism.I don't feel safe returning here.

  I just visited around 4 am for a pretty badly sprained ankle. I was in a lot of pain and very anxious, as I recently had a bad experience back home up North (here on vacation) with being racially profiled and presumed to be drug-seeking by a doctor and this is the South. Instead, I was fortunate to interact with a group of incredibly kind individuals who were so attentive and kind despite the late hour of the night. Specifically, thank you so much to Cierra, Emilio, the triage nurse, and the doctor that treated me. Everyone was so nice and actually listened to me and cared and I appreciate it so much. Thank you! P.S.: I sincerely apologize for forgetting and potentially misspelling names. I am very tired.
