I had the best experience from technician Mike Patterson when he came out to deliver and set up my daughter's equipment. He was patient, kind, nice, and very good at his job. He was sociable, laughed with us all, and I would recommend him to anyone that wants good customer service and equipment set up right.

Was so excited to finally be approved through insurance for the Cubby Bed! National Seating and Mobility had been there from the beginning while we got denied the first time and tried to seek help for us. After the change in insurance I got a call from NS&M and they jumped right on with the new insurance info and we got the approval needed to move forward! The process moved so fast and it was nothing except the biggest blessing for everything to happen like it did! We got the Cubby Bed within like 2 or 3 weeks! Mike P came out to set it up for us, who got the bed put together for us by himself, when it really should've been a 2 person job! Can't thank him enough, he didn't mind my Son coming in the room to check things out and trying to swipe his tools lol. Overall, I have nothing but the highest praise and gratitude for National Seating and Mobility for getting everything pulled together for us. My son is on the spectrum and the Cubby Bed was our only hope for him to have a bed that was safe for him. He couldn't hurt himself, get his legs caught in railing or escape the bed and frolick around the house and get into trouble while we slept. The Cubby Bed serves so many different types of areas for children with special needs. From Autism to differentbphysical type of disabilities. Was it worth the work being put into it from the wonderful team of doctors and therapist who wrote the LMN and recommended that it be put into consideration and then forward to National Seating and Mobility's team of wonderful employees to move mountains for my Son? Yes. I'd go through it all again, because my Son needs a safe place to sleep and grow through the nights without the worry on our side. Everybody gets a good night sleep finally.

Mike was very nice and he took the time to explain everything about my Wheelchair which has a lot more features than my old Wheelchair has. He was very thorough and he made sure that I felt comfortable before he left.
Frequently Asked Questions About National Seating & Mobility
What makes NSM the preferred choice for obtaining mobility solutions?
At NSM, we are uniquely positioned to search hundreds of sources for the precise components needed to create a chair that is made specifically to meet the needs of each client. Each chair can be designed for maximum comfort and ease and will provide the specific therapeutic benefits prescribed for you by the health care team. But what really sets NSM apart is our approach. We work from the heart, honoring your journey of independence with efficient, friendly attention that puts your interests first. This is our life’s work—to help others move through life—and we take it very seriously.
How can I work with NSM for my mobility needs?
National Seating & Mobility is a member of your rehabilitation health care team. We work with your physician, nurses and therapists to provide a one-of-a-kind mobility solution customized to your needs and preferences. Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
The choice of a wheeled mobility supplier is yours. Discuss your decision with your physician and therapist.
