Wonderful staff. One of my kids has anxiety and they made her feel incredibly comfortable. This is our second time there, the wait can be a little long if they are short staffed but it’s definitely worth it.

We took our kids to Kids First for dental cleanings for about 2 years. The front office staff has always been rude but we dealt with it because it was convenient to our area. A few months ago our youngest had a cavity that needed to be filled. From the first time it was filled we had nothing but trouble and issues. We had to go back 4 times for continued procedures because the tooth was only getting worse. Now we’ve moved to a new dentist and learned that because of the terrible work that was done by Kids First she now has to have cap put on the tooth because it’s unable to be fixed any other way. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely terrible. Canceled our first appointment which I understood being a practice manager myself emergencies come up and staff get sick, but that was strike one. Next my daughter had never complained of any pain or anything, found out she had 2 cavities. Ok, fine lets get them filled the dentist suggested to cap the tooth. Never once did they mention that it was a 50/50 chance it would work or that she had any sort of infection. Take her back for the procedure, they decided to only do 1/2 cavities at that appointment (on a child that can be torture to make them come back only a week later for the second, do them both at the same time). The very next day she started crying in pain that the tooth hurt a week later still in pain goes in for the second procedure tell the dental assistant who then tells me it was a HUGE cavity and only a 50/50 shot that they would have to extract the tooth and they would probably have to take it at this point. He asked if they gave an antibiotic prior to the first procedure for the infection. WHAT???? it was infected and no one told us??? Why do a procedure on an infected tooth to begin with? Next the dentist came in didn't listen proceeded to do the work on the second tooth. Go home and once the numbing wore off the next day she was crying in pain yet again. Make an emergency appointment go back again...they say they will send in an antibiotic and extract the tooth 10 days later. Go to the pharmacy to pick up the medication and guess what not there two more days go by and I call again infuriated at this point. They apologize and call in the medication. My husband picks it up (the dosage is 3 x the amount allowed for a child her size) REMINDER I work for a doctor and had the script verified. I also take liquid medication and this is more than the normal ADULT dosage of amoxicillin. Now a week later of being on the antibiotic she has an abscess at base of that tooth and it extends downward on her gum line 3 teeth prior. We moved back to PA and got her an emergency appointment with a trusted pediatric dentist that we have never had a problem with in the last 10 years with our other daughter. I would NEVER recommend this office.
Also had an issue with billing. Paid with a check at both appointments they took the deductible up front which is normal for most places but charged more than what was excepted. Still have not yet cashed our 2 checks written and it has been over a month. Nor have we had any correspondence about a refund for over payment.

Everything went great. Most importantly, both my 11- and 4-year-old children enjoyed the appointment, the assistants, and the dentists.
