Just finished up routine eye exam at the Sandhills location. The Doctor was pleasant and courteous...everything was well explained during the exam.
Customer Service was magnificent! Lawrence was very knowledgeable and was instrumental in making frame selections. Two pairs later, I am satisfied with my visit.

I love LensCrafters even though they are the most expensive but this was the worst LensCrafters I ever been in. It’s going to take 2 1/2 weeks to get my glasses. I love LensCrafters and Columbia Mall, call Sand Hill and ask what time can you do a walk-in? I got there within the hour which they had two more hours before they stopped taking walk-ins. The doctor said he couldn’t do my exam so I use my prescription. I already had. They told me my glasses will be back in two weeks which I thought was a long time that should’ve been a. I opened right there to let me know, I should’ve went back to Columbia on the mall in Harbison big mistake. I would never ever go to sandhill again. The young lady that waited on me was very professional therapy patient I was very satisfied with her. She did a very good job but the overall store I was very dissatisfied with the product. I could barely find something that I liked Very little product that was pleasing to my eyes I would never shop in sandhill in crafters again ever

I had a wonderful experience at LensCrafters! Jaderia was my sales associate, and she was incredibly thorough, helpful, and patient throughout the entire process. She was very honest and clear about pricing and my insurance coverage, which I really appreciated — no pressure, just transparency and care.
I purchased both glasses frames and contact lenses, and I was also able to get my eye exam done the same day since I was due. Everything felt easy, smooth, and well organized. The whole team was friendly, and the experience was truly stress-free.
Overall, I loved my visit and would absolutely recommend LensCrafters — especially if you have the chance to work with Jaderia. She did an amazing job!

On December 3rd, 2025 I purchased a pair of Ray Ban prescription eye glasses at the 470 Town Center Pl Ste B125, Columbia, SC 29229 LensCrafters location. The eye exam, optometrist, and sales associate that assisted me in my purchase were polite, accommodating and did everything I could ask to assist in the selection and purchase of my eye wear. My cost of the eye wear was close to $800.00, I recently picked them up and after wearing for a day realized they needed an adjustment. On December 16, 2025 around 2:30 PM I returned to the same lensCrafters and had a less than desirable experience with a salesperson who I believe is named Rachael (Caucasian, sandy blonde hair, black framed glasses). As I walked in the door, she was at the sales counter conducting a personal transaction purchasing what appeared to be fruit beverages from someone who was a private vendor. There were at least 8-10 16-ounce bottles on the counter that the vendor was selling to the LensCrafters associate; she looked up and saw me waiting yet did nothing to acknowledge me and continued to conduct her personal transaction, paying for a bottle of the beverage via a pay app, I know this to be true because I stood there waiting for her to finish.
Rachael asked what she could help me with; I explained my concerns as she took my glasses and started to inspect them. She wasn’t able to answer m question and sought out the manager to assist. The manager did provide an explanation, made an adjustment to my frames and returned them, Rachel stated that she would clean all the smudges off my lenses when completed, so when the manager finished, I let Rachael know that the frames now fit comfortably and all she would need to do is clean the lenses. After I said this Rachael turned to me with a condescending attitude and said “please”, I was shocked at what I just heard so I asked her if her comment was directed at me, she said yes that she didn’t appreciate being talked down to! I was totally speechless on what I was just accused of, especially since at the beginning of our interaction she specifically said she was going to clean the lenses when she was done with them, being that all was complete I simply said, all that was left was to clean the lenses….I tried to explain that my comment was simply a follow-up comment based on our earlier conversation but at this point she had shut down and became ruse and stand offish.
I left the store then returned because I was still shocked on what had occurred and asked to speak with the manager regarding this interaction. The manager was cordial and appreciated the feedback.
I realize there are a lot of people who can make a sales person’s day a challenge, I am not, and have never been that person – which is why I am providing this feedback.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
