  I got a call from them about changing my appointment. which was fine because i requested to only be seen by female doctors and i saw that they had me scheduled with a male doctor. i asked them to change this and they told me they couldn’t even though i had been told previously that it was fine i only be seen women. the lady on the phone asked me why and i told her i didn’t feel as though it was anyone’s business why it is against my wishes to be seen by a man and she then proceeded to talk to me with attitude and honestly treated me the worst anyone has ever treated me. she acted completely inappropriate and to be quite honest it made me shed a few tears because it was very traumatic for me. i would NOT trust these people to listen to you when it comes to how you wish to be cared for or treated. and i will not be returning.

  Today I went in for my appointment after getting my anatomy scan, something i was so excited about. I was supposed to see the doctor afterwards and ended up waiting an hour and a half before i finally stood up and decided to cancel my appointment. It was so bad the lights turned off on me and i was in complete darkness while waiting for the doctor to come in. I didn’t cause a scene just said i’d like to reschedule because at that point I wasnt waiting any longer. I heard the nurses “gossiping” on why i wanted to cancel and then Dr. Tolbert came out and confronted me saying “i needed to be patient and he had a lot of patients to see and work that he could see me now.” I couldn't believe the audacity. It was like he was offering me a favor to the point where i said if i was 10 minutes late my appointment would be cancelled but i needed to be “patient” after almost two hours. After trying to explain calmly he cut me off saying “you know what you have a nice day” and walked away. This being my second pregnancy i will be removing myself as a patient. This is the third and final incident that has left me feeling less than. If you can find another obgyn i would suggest you do so.

  The amount of time I am on hold for the appts line is ridiculous. Prior to joining under Novant Health calling the appt line was no issue. Now it takes forever to get hold of someone.

  Any time I try to call is like pulling teeth, doing anything via phone is next to impossible unless it’s after hours and you’re calling their emergency line. Then when you do get through the receptionist staff is never very nice. Even when in office they haven’t been great to deal with. Luckily my doctors have been nice so far however I’ve had to go to the ER and can’t get a follow up with them.

  I am very pleased with the overall care I received here. Tonya at the front desk was so sweet and made me feel welcome from the start. Dr. Griffith and her nurse also made me feel heard and well taken care of. I’m so happy I found a new office that takes patient care so serious!
