Order was placed for new lenses on 2/19/26. I was told the order would be filled in (10) business days. I followed up with the LensCrafters Aiken, SC store, no answer, all business associates were busy. They would call me back in two (2) business days. Two business days came and went. I followed up again this time in person. I found out the associate who took the order had another associate (who was training) placed the order which was done incorrectly on the computer which resulted in my order being cancelled. My lenses were reordered and a rush was put on the order, and it will be available for pick-up in ten (10) business days. Today is 4/1/26. My lenses did not come in because the lab was waiting for the frames. I asked to speak to the store manager. Store manager was at lunch and would call me back at 1:30 PM. At 2:00 PM I called the store and they told me they would have the lenses in ten (10) days. I complained. I notified the associate that this is getting ugly. I was going to notify my credit card company to dispute the charges for failing to deliver service in a timely matter. I was going to write a review including my terrible experience with doing business with this store. And notify the Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. The store manager called me back, put me on hold and then said, and I paraphrase you can’t threaten my employees. I repeated, you leave me no recourse as a disgruntled customer. I felt I was being taken advantage of because of my age. Perception is reality and there was agism at this store.
79+1 complaints against this LensCrafters store located Aiken, SC filed with the Better Business Bureau.
I do not recomend you go to this store to get your perscriptions filled.

First and foremost, Dr. Wu is excellent. She found I had macular degeneration, which 2 other eye doctors in the area missed, and she referred me to a retina specialist. Her assistant, Hilary, is professional, friendly and has the patience of a saint. This is a very busy office so expect to be there awhile. Dr. Wu and Hilary don't stop for a second. They are constantly assisting patients. My suggestion would be to have 2 assistants..one up front to answer the phone and check patients in and one in the back to help Dr. Wu and handle the the contact lens instruction, etc. I will continue to go there because they are so good at what they do.

My experience with LensCrafters of Aiken is always PERFECTLY superior. They have a wide variety of frames, their customer service representatives are knowledgeable and kind and the kids always look forward to going. I have three kids in glasses [and myself and husband and mother] and Mrs Rosina for the last three years has been AMAZING … she helped us understand our insurance coverages, helps us pick attractive glasses and all with wonderful customer service skills and a positive disposition. A PLUS RATING!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
