  Our family feels very grateful to have found Sharon, Sarah and the rest of the team at Home Instead. From our first interaction over a year ago through the ice storm of yesterday, our mom has received timely, dedicated, consistent, and compassionate care. Sharon checks in regularly to ensure things are running smoothly. She is always available to answer questions, act as a sounding board, and help us with our mom's changing needs. She is genuinely kind, caring and empathetic while being professional in every regard. And, we have grown to consider Sarah a part of our family. We know that when our mom is with her during the day, she is in good hands. We thank Home Instead for helping all of us navigate this journey.

  Our client care coordinator, Sharon, is very responsive and understanding, and has been quick to resolve issues we’ve encountered. The office has also been good communicating, as well as adapting the schedule and adding care as we’ve needed it, at times on very short notice.

  Overall, this was a very good service that met our ever-changing needs due to Mom's complicated care situation. The original call, and then meeting, could not have gone any better. Sharon answered my many questions and was beyond professional, but more importantly kind. This put my Mom at ease and let her know we were in good hands. Sharon was there on the first day when my Mom came home and was always a constant presence. Sharon would call and also make visits to make sure the everything was humming along as smooth as possible. Home Instead also made sure that, as the primary caregiver, POA and point of contact, all of my communication needs were more than met.

  This office is a family. I am thankful to be working with these people who care for me as much as the clients. They are always attentive to my schedule needs, and requests. My fellow caregivers also care about each other, and are great sharing pointers to help our clients. If I am ever in need, I know my co-workers and my Home Instead office has my back!

  From January 2014, when we brought my mother home from assisted living with help from a CCM, through March 2015, when my mother was committed to a nursing home following a sudden illness and a subsequent bout with c. diff, the North Hills Home Instead office consistently provided my mother with the caregiving support she needed to remain at home. Then, after the three months that it took her to recover from c. diff, the North Hills office arranged for the caregivers that my mother had come to know to be with her on a daily basis at the nursing home where she is now confined-- all three of whom treated my mother with respect and compassion. Having seen how a lack of continuity in caregiver support has impact others who have needed to assume responsibility for their parents has given me an appreciation for what Home Instead has provided for my mother. This office, moreover, has been very good about communicating with my brother and me with regards to exceptional events that have necessitated episodic changes in caregiving duties. Most recently, this included a follow-up to an unsuccessful attempt to intervene on our behalf, following the home's decision to deny access to all non-staff personnel, and a promise to resume care if (argh!) and when the prohibition on visitation is lifted. This pretty much sums it up, except for saying that my brother is also pleased with the service that Home Instead has offered.
