My original rating of 5 stars was after my first appointment with Dr Nick. He was so caring and compassionate and was willing to help me when no one else was. Today I finally got in for my cleaning and if I could leave 10 stars I would. After years of being told there was no help for me outside of spending thousands cornerstone has changed my life! I feel so happy after today knowing my teeth are being well taken care of by such a compassionate wonderful group of people! Cannot recommend enough!! (They r booked out a year for a good reason!)

Frequently Asked Questions About Cornerstone Care Community Dental Center of West Mifflin
What is Primary Care?
Primary care is a branch of medicine that is focused on disease prevention, maintenance of health issues, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. A primary care physician (PCP) will coordinate all aspects of your health care, both mental and physical. They will prescribe any needed medications, and refer you to a specialist when necessary.
Why do I Need a Primary Care Physician?
It’s crucial for everyone to have a primary care physician, even if you are healthy and rarely get sick. When you build a relationship with a PCP, they get to know your personal and family health history, and are able manage and identify virtually any health issues that arise. It’s important to identify illness early on before it becomes a serious problem. A PCP also provides vaccines, immunizations, cancer screenings, and general advice for improving your quality of life.
What’s the Difference Between Family Medicine, Internal Medicine & Primary Care?
Primary care physicians fall into three different categories: family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics. A family medicine doctor is both a pediatrician and an internal medicine doctor, caring for children and adults. An internal medicine doctor cares for adults only, while a pediatrician cares for children only.
