My mom was transferred here on a Wednesday. By Saturday, I had her sent to the ER at Chester County hospital where it was discovered that she had a UTI and sepsis.
The nurses couldn't even give her IV fluids! They had to call someone in from an outside company to get an IV started and then couldn't tell me how long it would take for the person to get there to start the IV. The 2 nurses that tried to start an IV, poked her so much to find a vein, it turned my stomach. And they still couldn't do it!
I asked them to check my mom for a UTI (on Saturday) and they said they could, but it wouldn't go out until Monday! By then, my mom would have been in septic shock!!
While the nurses there were all nice, not all of them provided enough care. And the aids that help, were all doing the bare minimum, with the exception of one, who was great. My mom was bed ridden and when she needed to be changed, the aids did a terrible job at cleaning her appropriately which clearly led to the development of the UTI and sepsis. When you needed help, it sometimes took 45 minutes after ringing the call bell for someone to assist. Or they would come in and turn off the light from the call bell and say, you'll just have to wait.
I would NOT recommend this rehab to anyone!!
When the director called me to see if my mom would be returning, she said, 'Is your mom coming back?' and when I said no, she just said 'ok thanks' and was ready to hang up. She never asked how my mom was, or her condition and didn't even tell me how to collect my mom's belongings.
Very unprofessional and cold. Terrible experience! Stay away!
