  My experiences with Chester County Spine Care have been excellent! If you are suffering from chronic back pain in any way, then Dr. Mathew Schaeffer is must see. An expert of the spine that will find the root of the problem.

  I am 30 years old and have multiple concerns with my cervical spine along with a herniated disc in my lumbar spine. When the numbness flared in my shoulder, I went to see Dr. Schaeffer. The best part about him is that he is not quick to judge and does not jump to surgery. Through all of the issues with my lumbar spine, he never once mentioned surgery as a option and I am able to manage the symptoms all while playing sports full time and running around with my sons. Back to the cervical issues, he asked me to get an MRI which I did and it showed C5/C6 moderate foraminal narrowing l/s and C6/C7 severe foraminal narrowing l/s. I have barely any pain just numbness in back of shoulder and tricep. The first thing he said was surgery is not necessary. He eased my anxious mind by telling me that they do not operate on MRI results only on the patients. He recommended P/T and to follow up if my symptoms worsened. He is a fantastic doctor who is conservative and listens. He never dismisses your concerns and listens to everything you have to say. Needless to say he will be my go-to doctor in the event that my neck gets worse.

  I have been reading so many negative reviews concerning Dr. Schaeffer in reference to his bedside manor, his quickness to get you in and out and felt compelled to write my own review. Today, October 4th, 2016, I met Dr. Schaeffer for the first time at my neuropathy surgery appointment. I had no clue who the man was as all of my previous appointments for injections and nerve blocks have been with Dr. Citara. So, I looked him up..... I am very happy to report that I had a very good experience with the Dr. and would not hesitate to visit him again. He answered all of my questions prior to surgery but must note, I did not bombard him with questions either. I already knew what to expect. I pray to God that I never have to go back but my issues may warrant that so, we shall wait and see. So far, so good after surgery 🙏😉 ! I will write another review in about 2-3 weeks.
