UPMC Washington's Emergency Department, also known as the E. Ronald and Constance Salvitti Emergency Care Center, is one of the busiest emergency departments in southwestern Pennsylvania. We provide emergency medical care 24 hours a day, seven days a week to more than 52,000 patients each year. Key features of the UPMC Washington Emergency Department- Board-certified physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, a full complement of on-call specialists, a base for STAT MedEvac (helicopter) to provide rapid transport for traumas and critically ill patients, when necessary, a dedicated team for diagnosis and treatment of stroke and heart attacks,stroke and pediatric telemedicine services.
